I like how it depicts Luffy basically as a small fish in a shark infested ocean and despite having no place on that battlefield keeps pushing forward to save his brother

As a younger brother after finishing marinefort I was in tears. Me and my brother are very close and I can feel luffy's pain. You would do anything for that person you love and admired. Even if it meant going to hells door itself. One of the greatest openings I'm a big naruto fan but one piece is a close second

this song give a deeper meaning Luffy’s feeling towards Ace. Despite all the chaotic and the cruelness that Navy show, they just two lovely brothers that only have each other back. They didnt even give a damn about being a pirates make them a criminal but they proved how their strong brotherhood always on top. The fact that Luffy actually successfully saved Ace but at the end, Ace return back to save Luffy. It’s a huge impacf for Luffy that force him to become more stronger and wiser.

While some people will find it slightly annoying how nobody dies in one piece, all that does is make it so when someone actually dies it’s 10x more impactful

What I love about this song is that it is happy but the melody makes it sound very personal and serious. Luffy has been separated from the crew and is on a mission to rescue Ace. Therefore he’s in a less jovial mood.

I first watched this part of the anime in wbat was already a dark time for me and it was a good lesson i didn’t even notice until retrospect…I lost someone close to me(not through death) and it affected my life severely…Luffy showed me how to get up and keep going by being around those who care for you, I’m so glad I found this anime when I did. P.s. for like a month afterwards I always got sad when I saw the word ace anywhere
