PREDATOR Clip - "Predator vs. Dutch" (1987) Sci-Fi, Arnold Schwarzenegger

Even though the sequels and lore weren't there yet, there's a reason the Predator blew itself up. In Yautja culture, it is considered extreme dishonor to return injured and beaten from their prey. The Predator would rather die than go home in shame. Also, it is extremely rare a predator ever spares their prey, so it probably took Dutch's mercy as an insult rather than compassion. He probably interpreted it as Dutch saying "You aren't worth killing" which is an even BIGGER middle finger to the Predator

Languages and cultures may vary, but insane megalomaniacal laughter is universal.

This predator had the most attitude of all of them . Trolling arnold til last last second . “WhAt THe HeLl ArE YoU“ and then laughing while he blows himself up lol

The Predator sarcastically laughing in the end is still one of the most chilling moments of the movie for me !

The most iconic part is when predator respects him enough to remove his weapons systems and fight hand to hand combat.

I'm still amazed how a movie from 1987 managed to be better then most modern movies

What makes this this scene so compelling to me is how Arnold is usually what comes to mind when thinking of somebody who is the peak of human strength but even then he is no physical match for the predator. And so it makes the scene more thrilling when Arnold has to rely on his mind and tactics to win

This duel will always be worth 100 Marvel sequels to me...always. And Predator will always top every sequel.

That final laugh is true scary part.. Damn badass movie

This movie is beyond greatness, such a classic film Arnold Schwarzenegger brilliant

Dutch: "Kill me, I'm here! Kill me!" Predator: "...Hold up."

It's hard to emphasize how jarring and scary it was to see mighty Arnold getting his ass handed to him when Predator first came out. Years earlier he played a scary killer cyborg who was annihilating humans left and right, and here he is getting manhandled by a much more massive monster(both created by Stan Winston, no less)

When Dutch is running and the nuclear warhead is going off behind him is the most badass scene in movie history

It's the greatest action film in the last 35 years for so many reasons, Originality and franchise starter....this IS the OG predator design and looks far more terrifying with the practical effects, The music is so good The actors were all perfectly cast. They build that suspense and paranoia so smoothly from beginning to end... They are real tough men that are terrified, and that is believable acting and or storyline... This is the testosterone that is so lacking today to truly survive a primal situation.... Cheers!

I love when the Predator looks at the booby trap. It’s like he’s saying; “Do you really think I’m that stupid?”

Can Anyone imagine how dutch felt when predator sensed it was a trap and decided to come other way around?

To me it feels like the Predator is laughing at how he lost to a human being. He is laughing at himself and choosing to die in joy.

I love when Dutch hits the Predator in the face and it just pauses for a second like “Hmm, not bad. My turn!” 😂😂😂
