  • About his Strickland fight, Teddy said "Israel wasn't as Bruce Lee-like as he nornally is." Sean in that fight was also doing something Bruce talked about. Bruce said "The best defense, is a defensive offense." Strickland was coming forward with near constant offense and pressure, while maintaining an excellent defense. Hope you get that one back Izzy and I can't wait to see it!

Izzy is spot on...Teddy Atlas is the real life version of Uncle Iroh. One of a kind

Always loved Teddy. His boxing mind is one of the best in the world. If he and Tyson didnt have their falling out, hed be more revered than he already is.
  • @Humanitip
Izzy's mistake against Strickland was aiming at the right side constantly. Strickland only had to block one side of the body, but if you replay the fight 80% of the strikes hitting Sean's left landed clean.
  • @towanyeh
Definitely a high level convo, this guy has a pure spirit
  • @Lucas24379
Love Izzy branching out and doing more content for fans during his break from fighting. Respect

OMG! Teddy Atlas is a legend but he's so much more, he has a presence. He can read people, this interview was lit! I hope Izzy can do more of this with TEDDY!! THANK U.

If Teddy didn't become a trainer and fight analyst he could've easily followed a path into psychiatry. He's got more than one, but his greatest gift is a keen ability to understand what's happening in someone's mind and how it can be leveraged as a strength or exploited as a weakness. A lot of what it takes to be a great trainer can be taught and learned, but I think that reading people on the level that Teddy does is a much more unique character trait. He also appears to have a genuine deep love of what he does and so he's always willing to share his insight with the world. Thank you for all of your contributions to combat sport Mr. Atlas. 🥊🏆

holy shit bro. teddy dropped some psychological gems in this. i am not surprised that he's cus' mentor at all. passing down the knowledge man. honestly, some of this is life-changing shit for me. not rushing into the propeller of the airplane and getting it over with. i know exactly what that means. you have to try your best. you have to allow yourself to fail and be confident enough to fail so you can improve. beautiful stuff in this podcast. i feel like someone delivered this message to Francis because this is exactly how he fought Fury... So composed. He genuinely believed in himself when nobody did. Beautiful man.

The mutual respect between Teddy & Izzy is on full display here…. I enjoyed this very much & I thank you both for being so humble & passionate about the science

Izzy, when you introduce a guest, give him a good intro. Even if everybody knows him. A 2 - or 3-line compliment works. A fun compliment or actual accomplishments can set the tone of the interview
  • @LoudMystic2159
Izzy comparing Teddy to Uncle Iroh and Teddy not knowing how to take it is GOLD
  • @QueenT_98
it’s cool to hear from you what was going through your mind during the Strickland fight. Teddy Atlas always dropping gems, not just for fighting but life overall.
  • @charliefiore5371
what an awesome podcast, you can see izzy’s mentality, as strong as it is, being picked apart in a way that both highlights his strengths and his weaknesses. amazing combo, in all honesty i’d love to see a pod with nicsick down the road maybe when he’s done fighting or a strickland rematch isn’t likely, i feel like it would be awesome to see both sides of the fight and how they prepared and executed their gameplans
  • i could listen to Teddy all day everyday, his wisdom and knowledge is unmatched
  • @alleno9029

  • Happy new years champ can’t wait to see your comeback definitely need more podcasts 💪🏿
