  • Can we take a moment to appreciate this man for continuing to participate in podcasts and interviews at…. 93 years old!
  • @johne1956
I remember during my psychology degree which I took in 1974, nearly 50 years ago, Noam Chomsky was already considered a great intellect and leader in the field of linguistics. I have no words to describe my admiration for his continued words of wisdom that shine like a beacon through today's murk.
  • The memory and recall of this 93 year old man is orders of magnitude better than mine, a 29 year old man
  • @Adam-fb5nt
Noam Chomsky: The GOAT at reading the newspaper
  • "I have a book called Manufacturing Consent" hahaha, he said it so casually. Absolute legend. That's like Tolstoy casually saying "I have a book called War and Peace"
  • Chomsky is one of the best human beings to exist and I'm thankful he's still here after 93 years. He's been able to teach so many such important information over the decades. 'Manufacturing Consent' is still one of his best. Anyone who hasn't read up on it or watched it should.
  • The information that is in that 93 year old man's head is simply incredible. If you really take the time to listen to him you can hear decades of well thought put explanations to the world's problem. Absolute national treasure Chompsky is.
  • @onnelako
Never knowing who's next as Lex really goes around when it comes to the guests. Amazing.
  • @pputnam100
Man, thanks so much for bringing the world a man like Noam, amplifying one of our few original thinkers. I listened to the whole thing, utterly engrossed. Great use of the Voltaire quote.
  • @mirapilates
I wish this was like longer! Amazing Noam is still able to articulate at this level in his 90s.
  • @MarkyMahn
Just wanted to bring up a few points regarding this interview because i noticed the same issues in some of your questions with Andrew Bustamante. First of all, I absolutely love all your podcasts and your interviewing questions are absolutely stunning most of the time. The amount of preparation you put into your questions is inspiring. When considering political matters, it's often irrelevant to talk about things like who is to blame, is putin a dictator/psychotic/evil, did putin fail to conquer the hearts and minds of the world etc... Politics is about interests so it should be seen with that lens. Most of the times, about money, very often about resources. The questions should be more about which interest is served by this action, what is the end goal of this policy or this war, etc.. Lastly, I was hoping to ask if you'd consider a podcast that mentions the war in Yemen, which has been a unilateral slaughter by the west and saudis. Thank you for your consideration and again, I'm a huge fan of yours.
  • There is no one in the world today like Noam Chomsky for clearly and succinctly analysing how power works.
  • @guybaehr8124
One of Chomsky's great values is that he concentrates on the really important questions and issues and does not let himself get distracted by non-essential or unanswerable questions or issues (so often invoked by propagandists and superficial journalists). It doesn't matter if Putin or the neocons are "mad," "demented," "evil" or even "well-intentioned good guys". Look at what they do and say and what the logical consequences are for humanity.
  • @shonenryu7261
I sent an email to Prof. Chomsky back in 2012 when I found his MIT email. He responded with a very kind message and it was an extremely uplifting and inspiring experience. I like to share this story to communicate how kind a soul this man is.
  • LEX. Thank you for allowing Naom to finish his answer to your questions without interruptions. It is a privilege to listen to his analysis of the current situation. 🌲🌝☘️
  • Perfect questions. Lex Freedman always aims at the essential. Congratulations!
  • Thank you, Lex. Your interview of Noam was timely and your questions were spot on, so were his answers.
  • Your impressive path into history as one of the most impressive interviewers of all time is second only to the fact that you are essentially a one man show. Thank you for your careful, wise, and competent work. If 1/3 of the Americans that call themselves journalists had your work ethic and moral standards we would likely be in a much healthier situation. At the very least we would have been better informed. Keep going Lex.
