The real thing has bearings on the 2 top coilovers, 2 bars connected to the live axle with bearings on both ends along with a bearing to allow those bars to twist, and a bar in the middle to create a triangular structure so the axle doesn't flop around. Yours is a cheaper option but could be troublesome for heavier vehicles ie. A vehicle with a bunch of craft bots + storage etc.

This suspension worked great for me. My vehicle doesn't get much traction so it drifts a lot but its really smooth and never flips.
  • That’s called “dependant suspension” independent suspension is what you would call a wishbone suspension. Where each wheel is separated individually. However good video 👌🏽

thank you, i was looking for a suspension build that was less complicated than wishbone but a little bit better than just suspension alone. this is perfect! 👍
  • have been watching suspsion videos for 2 days and finaly came acrross this so much cheaper and easier to make in survial and easy adapted to make more or less ground clearnce thanks mate good vid

Interesting, I tried a suspension setup like this back when creative was just released, but when articulating it tried to bend the suspension pieces and that caused the suspension glitch. So it felt kind of awful and I never tried it again. But it seems like bearings have a lot more stretch now, so I guess this is finally a viable setup and I'll defo try it again.

Oh my gosh thank u so much I used a modified design of this on my prerunner truck for the rear suspension

i cant believe more people aren't subscribed and liking these videos. You made my scrap mechanic experience much better!
  • @blox589
Thanks very much i will use this suspension in my first survival buggy-truck

A real benefit of this is survival if you can add as many suspensions as you want, instead of upgrading them, saving component kits. You can also use bearings on the connections between the body and the bearings to lower the vehicle by extending the wheels forwards and backwards.
  • at the first i didn't like how simple it looked but after 2 months after i saw this video i did some research and realized solid axle is actually better than double wishbone in offroad
  • @Oilshock
I gonna be the one to say the suspension system you built is not in fact a independent one but a solid axle suspension system with all the extra links.
  • @ThatFreeWilliam
I like this better than a wishbone on the rear suspension, seems to keep the vehicle from tipping as much when I'm driving like an idiot (usually)
  • @Doom_Slayer0
Really nice i hope i also can build it when i buy the game!
  • @randomtrainboy
me who has built the exact same suspension before watching this video hmmm... this looks familiar
  • @caolakota
Muito bom e fácil de entender, obrigado!
