I have taken the truck in for service multiple times for these QC issues. Do I have the time and patience to keep taking the truck in? I guess we'll find out.

They say a smart man learns from his mistakes, but a wise man learns from the mistakes of others… The most unselfish thing you could have done you did by documenting this and allowing others to proceed with great caution!!! Thanks man…

Toyota has failed you and failed us. Mike sweers dropped the ball. They hyped it up to let us down. Payload. Rattles. Wind noise. Seat cracking. Payload. Waste gate. Utter failure by Toyota.

You're not alone. Many others have documented these issues. Toyota is going to have to work hard to redeem this latest version of the Tundra when they do a "refresh" of it.

Thanks for confirming that I should spend my $83,000 on a GX550 instead

You are a true friend to consumer community. We owe you a great deal.

My 22’ is no different. I didn’t realized Toyota’s lack of the quality until 6 months of ownership. So many videos like this hopefully helps prevent others from buyers remorse.

For the outrageous price of new trucks, this is sad. Just another reason to driving my 2008 5.7L gas guzzler tundra. After 280k miles, it’s solid with no mechanical issues and the ride quality is just as good as the day I brought it.

I looked hard at the tundra a year ago when buying. In the showroom I could see the weather seal already coming off. The gaskets around windows had huge gaps. I ended up with a Ram bighorn. Zero issues quiet cabin and smooth ride….

Thanks for sharing this.

I'm a Toyota guy through and through , I'm also a auto technician of 15+ yrs , my spouse and I both drive newer Toyotas. but if I were to recommend a half ton to anyone it wouldn't be the tundra . the last generation was the best tundra to own . I previously owned a 2019 SR5 Crewmax and it was flawless and much better build quality , I no longer needed a truck and traded it off towards a new rav4 . I am very happy with my rav4 also .. But these new tundra's are awful imo . I would go ford if I needed another half ton . that's my thoughts

People need to vote with their Wallet. Don’t buy these vehicles especially at their high prices

I have the same tailgate gap issue. The dealer was able to fix it but he said it was temporary. In order to get a permanent fix he said I would have to pay a monthly subscription.

I have some of the same problems with my 24 but they are minor. I'm on a lease but maybe it won't go past 3 years

Dang man these issues are hard to swallow. To be honest though the last gen tundra was extremely cheap inside as well which is why I never bought one.

The radio volume knob in my 2024 Limited came off as I was adjusting the volume. Only 6k on the odometer.

I’m so relieved the new 4Runner wil still be made in Japan!

If I could do it all over again, I would have bought the 2023 Ford F150 XLT 3.3V6 over my 2023 Tundra SR, I am very dissapointed in Toyota's quality issues and my dealer still hasn't resolved them, on top of that Toyota has poor communication with me and does not return emails, I love mine but have similar issues as well, including an annoying rear vent whistle. I am going to make another video shortly and update my subs as well! If I had the cash I think I would jump into a whole new world and go with a Rivian R1T

Well, the majority of the interior looks to be various types of plastic that more or less snaps in place or held by plastic clips...unless Toyota changes the makeup of interior parts with other materials I can't see these issues being remedied..

So sorry it happens to you! Made in America! Quality control always an issue. To me it’s embarrassing to show your friends your new truck and it’s already falling apart. Bought a brand new Chevy truck and I had the same experience. Everything tends to lose during summer months and fall off when it gets hot.
