There are times in my life where it just seems my brain forgot how to fall asleep. Then one night I thought, "What if I made this into a video idea?" Then I got excited and thought about it more throughout the whole night. So here you go. Get more sleep!

  • One night I literally had to look up “how do I fall asleep?” And wiki how says 1. Go to bed 2. Fall asleep
  • Funny how I can’t sleep when a test comes up but when I’m trying to stay up I fall asleep as soon as the lights turn off
  • the whole "feeling your mind drift only for that acknowledgement of make you more awake" is so relatable to me that i am in a state of aw right now. also i have found exercise, eating a big meal, and completing 4 hours of non-stop dancing followed by a half an hour drive home and another hour of getting ready for bed, all really help to get you ready for sleep.
  • Wow, you're describing exactly what I've been through these past 10 or so years. I've been dealing with depression and sleep deprivation for a long time. Now I'm at the stage where I've got periods of time with good sleep and periods where my brain is full of ideas and won't shut up. For me, being active physically and mentally during the day usually helps. And trying to maintain a regular sleep cycle.
  • Just when i'm about to fully pass out, I always get that falling sensation and wake myself up lol
  • My melatonin to fixing my sleep is ASMR, but then it could just be a placebo
  • Had pretty intense sleep problems. A strict routine, meditation directly before going to bed, muscle relaxation exercises, physical exercise and getting of all screens an hour before bedtime rly helped me. Aka getting my life in order was helpful

I've always struggles with insomnia. Something that really helps me is instrumental music, or a video. Disclaimer, I have very specific videos that I watch that specifically put me to sleep. They're let's plays of game grumps usually that I've watched a million times and they put me right to sleep. Love those game grumps.
  • My brain constantly reminds me of how nice it is to sleep when I can’t sleep
  • The way i fall asleep is: First i take a book Then i hit it with my head until i feel dizy.
  • Whenever I just done fall asleep, reading until I’m sleepy helps. Also, I get the 3 am random motivation boost and come up with a plan for something and then always fail it. It’s fun.
  • Whenever I can’t sleep I just make up my own dreams. Like a cartoon
  • I can never sleep I normally end up falling asleep at midnight even if I go to bed at 8pm.
  • It feels like it’s physically impossible to sleep. Like, every night.
  • @DaGingar
Yeah this happens to me basically every night, glad to see that I’m not the only one that’s like this! I haven’t found a way to help me to fall asleep but yeaaaaaaaaaaa
  • The worst part is FINALLY being able to sleep, but having to use the bathroom...
  • I have similar sleep problems due to anxiety and it feels like my brain is sabotaging me every time I go to sleep. I also have started to take melatonin recently and it has really helped! Another thing I do to calm down and to stop my brain from hating me is a word game that goes like this: You think of a five letter word, like young, then you take each letter, and come up with five words that start with that letter. Young: Y, yeast, yesterday etc. then you go and do that with each letter, once you finish you start again with another word. This eventually makes me feel tired and my brain kinda just shuts down and I'm able to sleep, I encourage everyone to try it!

What me helps is tensioning every muscle in my body and slowly relaxing one after an other.
