When I grew up all the kid friendly shows were Saturday only so that’s the day us kids were allowed TV from 6am till 3 pm ! That’s all we got ! Of course we had rabbit ears and like 6 channels in the 70’s 😂! The rest of the time we were outside ❤

You are spot on about screen time! Children pattern themselves by example, so they will do as you are doing and want screen time too. You as a couple are raising your children God’s way. 💜

I love it all. My Grandma had a pump like that on her sink and we played with a slip n slide and lots of bubbles too. So much fun with families that can play together. My Grandpa made a swing in his big tree for us too. Loved playing outside. That is such a beautiful area. You have a beautiful family.

Im 71 yrs old. Retired. Single with a little rescue dog Buddy. I purchased a used 25 ft camper and moved into it fulltime. I totally agree with you on the TV & Social media time. I purposely took down the TV that came with the camper and gave it away. It has changed everything for me. I LOVE being outdoors more and ive been hand quilting and knocking out these quilts and i make prayer journals and these have gone to 25+ women friends. I wasted so much time watching TV etc. But im so done with that and im so present witb family and friends. God is so good like that that He gave me clarity about that wasteful time Thank you for sharing about that. Have a great time at friends wedding. Travelling mercies.

I so enjoy how you allow your children to explore the world around them, to get dirty, solve challenges on their own, and learn by doing. I love that Gideon and Evie were barefooted while playing, too. As for the screen time, I agree with you. Even though my children are grown, it's important to me to be present when others are around, even at home. But, even more importantly, as you said, it's better for my mental health to limit my social media time. Finally, I just adore your gentleness and kind spirits, and your genuine nature. Thank you for being "real", and not trying to be the TV personality you could be....your fans love you all!

Love this video! I watch and save them all under your name. You have a beautiful family. I am a grandmother, age 72. I also have 2 sons and a daughter. Best part I enjoyed was your comments at the end regarding tv watching/screen time etc. I absolutely know how much time can slip away and in my case I pass the point of going to bed when ai am a little sleepy, to the point I am up all night some nights and then have a big problem getting my nights and days turned around!! So I do have a big garden and am trying to do more outside, planting flowers, etc. Balance Is always the key, and when I work outside or even run errands like grocery shop, going to Lowe’s for mulch, plants, etc. I get more steps in and am trying to also wear my watch to count those steps. I am always tired 🥱 when I do more out of the house. I prefer doing things outside the house, maybe my personality or the fact I was raised with two brothers, I being the middle child like your Evie was a tomboy! No matter how many cute feminine ruffles and lace dresses my mom made me and she, like her mother, was an exceptional seamstress, I would come home from school after climbing in all the gym equipment with several safety pins holding my beautiful hand made dresses together. I’m sure my mom wanted me to be this little feminine looking little girl but my personality was such, I wanted to keep up with the boys.😂 Anyway I digress. Love your videos and it brings back memories of my time as a young mom. Miss those days still! ❤
