Former TLC star Jinger Duggar Vuolo returns to the show with her husband, Jeremy Vuolo. Her life was infamously chronicled in the Duggar family’s 2008 reality show, “19 Kids and Counting.” Since the show, a flood of controversy has surrounded the Duggar family—from the #FreeJinger movement to Josh Duggar, Jinger’s brother, being sentenced to 12 years in prison for child pornography charges. Fast forward to the present—both Jinger and her sister Jill have written memoirs about the experience. Jinger joins our episode titled “Behind the Crime” with the latest update.

  • Josh Duggar's crimes are NOT alledged. He was tried, convicted and incarcerated for it.

Remember when the pedo brother Josh called Jill a tattle tale? Let that sink in. He’s now in jail. The narcissist gaslighting father has been exposed. Good for Jill. The tables have turned.

I totally support Jill👏. Good for her for calling out the cult she grew up in and the trauma she endured in her family.

I love that some of the Duggar daughters actually married normal, kind, stable, supportive men!
  • Both Jinger and Jill are truly ( as Jeremy said) not the two I would have expected to be the outspoken ones. A quiet strength and grace exudes from both. I think they are both shining examples of inner fortitude and am quite impressed by both of them. I'm glad they both married men who have supported them in living their truths. My heart truly breaks for Jill. I wish her much peace in the years ahead.

MUCH respect for any show that gives time to the Duggar women telling their stories. All support to these women.

I had the pleasure of meeting them both yesterday they were shopping with me at Nordstrom her husband is wearing the suede blue jacket I helped him purchase. They were really nice. We even talked briefly about her life story. I'm glad that she found a way to exit and found freedom. May her story be a testimony for others .

I'm so happy to hear that her "sweet" voice is changing with the passing of each interview into a confident self assured one!!!

Perfect quote: "Forgiveness and Trust Are NOT One and the Same " No truer words were ever spoken.

Jinger did great at not answering that question

Before it was like Jeremy was the one who talked a lot, now it’s surprising how Jinger has come into her own person and is able explain her side of things as to what she has been through. She recognizes the toll it takes on a child following a cult and being on tv.

Jill’s brother Jedidiah was very nasty to her on the Instagram post announcing her book. His nastiness is what prompted me to go out and pre-order a copy. Many people said they did the same after, to show her support.

I see a lot of people criticizing Jinger for not being as outspoken as her sister. But the whole point of them being out of the cult is that their individual personalities can come through. It's possible that Jinger is still afraid, and that's why she's much more reserved than her sister. But it's also possible that she's a different person who needs to process and express her experiences in a different way. One of the other sisters might break free and choose not to talk or write about it publicly at all. And that would be just fine, too. It doesn't have to be a sign of living under fear or control.

Tamron I really would like to see Jill on your show.
  • @Kholte
I hope you have Jill on this show. It's her story and she should be the one talking about it.
  • @maryvee61
Jill's Book is awesome and very compelling! I would recommend it highly!
  • @kjh6903
Just read Jill’s book , Counting the Cost , and I highly recommend it . She remained very respectful of her father while calling him out on his manipulation and dishonesty.
  • @ctin904
I wish Jinger and Jill, and their families, all the best. Brave women! I don't always agree with Jeremy, but I like that he and Derick are supporting their wives through this process.

It’s clear to me that ginger is still not wanting to rock the boat. She’s still trying to please her parents, still following JB‘s party line. that’s why I didn’t bother to read her book. But Jill’s book was fantastic straight from the heart, a complete factually based memoir of her life.
