[FA01] TUFF (Boxer) vs RUFF (Brawler) | AI-controlled Simulated Robots Fight

Published 2024-07-21
🤖 Final Automata is the next-gen fighting game where the robot fighters are entirely controlled by AI.

📜 PROLOGUE:
In 2050, robot technology redefines conflict. Violence among humans is history, and AI-driven robots are the new weapons to settle scores between factions and nations. FINAL AUTOMATA is where the action’s at. Here, technology is the tool of power that shapes the very nature of the new world order. This isn't just a fight; it's a high-tech war for dominance. The challenge is ON. ⚔

💻 Made with Unity. Trained with MLAgents/Reinforcement Learning.

🆕 What's in this update:
* Full multi-round fight between two agents
* New robots
* 4 new strikes
* 4 new defensive movements
* Improved stability and agility

We have our first competitors - crash test bots - Ruff and Tuff. The AI controls not only high-level decisions but every joint in their bodies. After 250 days of simulation, Tuff and Ruff have mastered basic movements and high-level strategy.

Their arsenal of actions is the same, but the main difference is their level of aggression. Tuff is a more defensive robot, while Ruff doesn’t shy away from punches.

The rules of the fight are simple: the last robot standing in each round wins. The match lasts until one robot wins three rounds.

    I cant imagine what this will look like after more training, sheeessh
  • This looks pretty awesome. I've made AI for lots of competitive games but I've always wanted a combative project in a toribash like environment. It'd be fun to see this opened up to have tournaments with community trained bots.

    This is really cool. I have an idea. Just like in real life you should also train them in sand bag. Like if the punch they did is really strong they will be rewarded so that their punches will look more refined. Same with head movements. The other one will be the one punching then the other will just dodge punches. That way their movements will be refined. But hey I've only thought of this in my head and I'm glad this exists now.

    This looks very interesting but I have to ask. Is this going to be a game or just a series of videos? If it's going to be a videogame then have you planned the gameplay elements?
  • Woow! This is actually really really awesomee. But why in the 3rd round it looks kind lose it's orientation?
