This exactly why I prefer DC. Because they actually make you think about how these heroes and villains have repercussions in the real world. The film was a complete package and an epic journey from start to finish. I love the graphic novels used, the properly executed punchlines, and the background of the characters introduced. This movie did a great job showing the sheer power and destructive capabilities of Demi-gods/Superheroes/Heroes/Kryptonians under on Earth. I am insanely in love with this cinematography and combat sequence. Notice how the female characters didn't bash the man's masculinity or invoke any "girl power" nonsense? And still, they came off as a powerful female character in the movie. (WW, Faora, Luis Lane, Mera, HQ and Martha). That's good writing by Goyer, the Nolan brothers, and Zack Snyder. Also brilliant acting by everyone.

It's what I feel the DCEU has been. A Beautiful Lie. There has been some really great stuff, but we didn't get half of things we were promised.

Bruce is laying on the cold floors of Apokolips. As Darksied looks upon the mere mortal, he says "All of that work, just to get here and die." Batman stumbles to his feet. Badly injured from the fight for Earth, he walks towards the evil space devil. Bruce speaks with anger and passion in his voice: "Yknow, I've spent years in a city full of sin and hate. Trying to right the wrongs my parents never could. Sure, a few people died along the way. But their deaths were never in vain. But without them...I slowly lost my way from humanity, I became a monster....like you." Darkseid laughs, stating "I'm not a monster, I'm here for what's mine. That's not so wrong is it?" Bruce keeps marching towards the throne saying "...and then Superman fell from the sky. Pushing me to my breaking point. So much so I almost killed him, thinking he was an absolute threat to the world. I was wrong. He was its savior, as well as all the others. And if there is one thing I learned from him. Is that to truly understand what we dont know, we must lose all fear. And Darkseid, I'm not afraid of you!". Bruce pulls out his grappler and swings towards Darkseid, hitting the tyrant with some explosives. Darkseid, shrouded in smoke walks out and says to the mortal: "Then we'll have to change that wont we!" Shooting his Omega Beams, Darkseid nearly misses The Bat. Batman recalculated where the shot would land, and where it would hit ahead of time. Thus, he is able to dodge the beams. After a few attempts to blast The Dark Knight, Darkseid stops. "Impressive, what was your name. I must know so I can write it on your tombstone in the halls of fallen warriors" Darkseid proclaims. Bruce gets to his feet, pulls out a button, and says "Omega4193193". Darkseid looks puzzled before asking "That's your name!?". Batman says in reply "No, but that's the codename of the explosive devices ive planted all around this place. Face it, you lost to a mortal man." Darkseid in shock steps back, "This-this cannot be!....I MUST HAVE WHATS MINE. MY BIRTHRIGHT!". Batman presses the button, sacrificing himself to kill the beast. But just before that he says "Oh, and my name...well, I'm the Goddamn Batman!".

The snyder cut was the best superhero movie I have ever seen. Before this I thought infinity war was good but this is next level
