Let’s be real, the WNBA players don’t like her because she’s a straight white girl from Iowa. She’s not the “type” that they wanted to become the face of their league. Candace Wiggins talked about the poor treatment she got as a straight player in a league of mostly LGBT women years ago, and Ionescu is dealing with it now. It’s unfortunate because Clark would change the league and help elevate players of all races and orientations, it’s just pettiness and jealousy holding it back.

Have never watched one single WNBA game. Not even the Dallas team, and I live in Dallas. But I admit that I would tune in to see how well Caitlin Clark plays. She just makes the game actually interesting.
