Our new 5' CountyLine Rotory Cutter.

Published 2022-08-02
I finally setup and test out our brand new CountyLine rotory cutter. I initially tried it out behind our Yanmar SA324 and it is working out great. Next I'll try it behind the John Deere LV4010.

Glad to see that it will turn a 5 foot cutter with no problem. I have a 4 footer I’ll be using with my SA325.

I also read my sa425 manual and use the same procedure. I’m new to tractors.
  • Nice video. I just got one of these a week ago. Had to cut 9 inchs off the pto shaft. Went through set up just like you. Only did a test run worked great!

Keep bucket lowered to help push down plus make sure you do 50hr service on these tractors! I just did mine oil thin and dirty!

I just got the 325 and I saw a video of a guy complaint about the PTO noise I also do mine like the manual said which is the same as yours and mine ran smooth as well.

I have about the same mower except the back of mine isn't rounded. The top link on mine is made different. When I turn on the PTO it is at idle and then I bring the throttle up to speed. On mine I had to put the lower pins on and when I did i didn't have the right socket to tighten it. I had one vibrate loose. So i bought a socket and used blue loctite with impact gun. I seen a video where the guy using it that bolt fell off and he then had a issue. I would think that you really don't have enough horsepower at the PTO, since all tractors loose horsepower from what the tractor has.
  • I really like your videos. I am also have a yanmar tractor sa-424 which is a 24hp engine. I need to get a brush hog and dealer told me to use a 4 ft brush hog. He said a 5 ft would be straining the engine? But your 5 ft seems to work

Doesn’t look like that cutter is equipped with a pivot for the top link??

This may seem like a dumb question but we are learning (just got a new 39hp tractor) we couldn't afford the $3000 towards the tractor brand bush hog but we learned (after wed already made the purchase) that we couldn't put any ole bush hog on it, needs to have a slip clutch. We are looking hard at this bush hog but can't find any info about it, does it come with a slip clutch? Thanks for the video!
