Great tip. A lot of popular YouTube grooming "specialists" never mention that neck area to be trimmed.

I started trimming my own neck hair using 2 mirrors (bathroom mirror + handheld) almost a decade ago, and as i got more comfortable with it within a few months, i moved to dry shaving the back of my neck once a week. Now it only takes me about 2-3 minutes to quickly do a thorough dry shaving job before i hop into the shower. Its all about slow and steady experience and eventual dexterity. Even the barbers/hair stylists are fooled into thinking I don't grow any neck hair and comment as such.

Hahaha the bashing yourself in the face with the mirror line made me laugh out loud

Thanks I've been cutting my own hair for 6 months and needed a bit of guidance on unruly neck hair.

Thank you so much, finally got rid of the annoying hair on my neck Kept going slow because I wouldn't be able to go out if I messed up 😅

Excellent Michael! That was exactly what i was looking for. Your method is better than I was doing and will help me do a better job. Surgery and bashing your face comments keep your videos "real" love it! Question though. Order of things. Sides/back first, then top? Obviously the trimming of the edges is last.
  • Great video. Also, I love the chairs you have in the shop!

I would also suggest, from experience, to take a few test runs with the clippers off because it's easy to get mixed up and go left when you mean to go right or worse, go up when you mean to go down.
