In September 2020, Ashley Benefield ran to a neighbor's house in Lakewood Ranch, Florida, and stated she had just shot her husband. Douglas Benefield had several gunshot wounds to his leg, arm, and chest area. Ashley Benefield claims she shot him in self-defense after months of alleged abuse. She was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. Ashley Benefield made bail and has been living with family and her daughter since the crime.

She is trying to carry on without her father you guys seriously?! she’s a young girl trying to navigate her way through life. If these TikTok make her feel better leave her alone.

She doesn't owe her dad anything. He put her in the situation by bringing a stranger in her life that he clearly didn't take the time to know enough about leaving her orphan. For him to marry someone without telling his only daughter who lived with him speaks a lot about him. Knowing that she is dealing with the death of her mom. The courtroom could literally be setting her back emotionally while she's trying to be strong on the outside

I’m convinced the Defense attorney is nuts.
  • @mrl8953
she's a young lady who lost her mom and then her dad was shot and killed by the new step mom....probably some severe trauma going on!
  • @julesbee6249
She was subpoenaed. She didn’t seek to go on the stand. Her demeanor is irrelevant.
  • @maliamarin5718
She’s not on trial the ballerina is on trial so let’s concentrate on who really is on trial here!!!!!!!!!!
  • @jenninscho1980
The murderer is not a "ballerina". She was a ballet dancer.
  • @jenninscho1980
She's a victim! Of course she's traumatized by her dad's murder. Her mother isn't here either. People react differently to trauma and this has to be stressful going on the stand. People her age communicate a lot via TikTok. Now, should she wait until after the trial to post anything related to it-yes.

I think she is just a very young woman. I also think people are blowing everything out of proportion. It’s been 4 years since her father died so she’s not acting sad, what do you want from her? Maybe she’s just trying to be positive talking about her clothes and her crush. 🙄
  • Shes been coping for almost 4 years now. I wouldn't expect her to have the same emotions as if it just happened within a years time. She's had time to heal a bit and have some closure, no?

Daughter. Not son. News reporters get so much info wrong

I’ve supported Eva and saw that she has posted about these events since they happened. It does go to her age and maturity for why she’s posting on TikTok. That’s what kids her age are doing and they are taught that’s how you get attention and how to present yourself online. When it comes to court, you don’t post online you don’t say anything to anyone and you keep it professional and quiet until the trial is over. I wish someone would have told her or she would have been taught how to behave outside of trial while it’s ongoing. The lawyers will do anything in their power to jab at the opposing counsels case. You have to know to give them NO AMMO 🥲🥲 praying for her and hoping whatever justice is in this case, it will be served.

Her plan backfired? Huh? Why are you all not criticizing the attorney for not watching the videos before letting them have a hearing. She said nothing wrong. Nothing!
  • @citizen1163
The daughter is cool as cucumber. Smart girl. She does her parents proud. Loved how she corrected the defence counsel when he got the date wrong.
  • @StarkJerk
“In the bushes??” 😂 Yes, sir… I left my phone in the bushes while I am on the stand.
  • @MsSista77
This is so weird! TikTok videos about her outfit for a murder trial? Her own father's murder! And then all scared and wide-eyed in court. Completely different demeanor. Seems a bit hypocritical considering she accuses Ashley of acting differently depending on her audience.
