OUR BIG FOUNDATION BUILDING IS GOING UP! ... we have a dream .. and this week we have crossed the halfway mark 👏🙂 !!!
HADAS LOMBOK EARTHQUAKE & DISABILITY CENTRE UPDATE (video needs volume) building our foundation medical & disability centre is one of our most important long term projects .. the reason is 'long term foundation sustainability' & building our big base will significantly empower & increase the outputs of our amazing young EF volunteers who work so hard to reduce the suffering of thousands .. slowly, slowly but fast really ..

The facility we are building is a multi Disability Centre / Free Med Clinic / Prosthetics Base / Ambulance Base / LFC Endri Foundation Office / Accom for Sick / Disaster Relief base/ training facility / safe storage for our WFK Wheelchair shipments and our Disaster Relief Equipment ..
visitor centre and a Lombok Earthquake .. and many more uses ..

..........
UPDATE & INFO
.. video making is not my skill & its been time consuming finding photos with Endri to archive this .. video is such a great way to archive all the hard work, from rice field land to eventually a thriving foundation base. With this project i havn't been posting much ...

... we have been putting in huge hours on this project, on the physical side of these sort of start ups there has not been so much to show and you never no how long each step will take and can very easily get disappointed .. the actual build was 8 weeks only

WHAT WE HAVE BEEN DOING: .. we have lobbied and been given to use a very beautiful & valuable piece of land ($150,000 plus) this has had to go through all sorts of due diligence & process with govt, hundreds of meetings / documents, including support from local Senators and signed of by the Provinces mayor .. then built huge retaining walls to raise the land to road hight … being able to operate as medical centre & foundation meant even more paperwork more paperwork approvals .. then the building quotations & building design drawing (to the new earthquake standards) , and the extra costs in getting a ‘good building price’ when tradesmen are in super demand due to the earthquake rebuild with the local costs to build often doubling. Moving and craning into place our two hospital containers on the new sight was also a huge logistical task & expensive. For me i love movement and always feel anxious when projects hit walls and hurdles as it takes a lot of pushing and funds to get over these .. i hate unnecessary walls as it slows us down and i am not that patient when it comes to ditherers.
The other reason i like projects moving fast is hard to find supporting funders need to see progress, so having a patient partnership has been really key and it really means we can do things at the speed things take and with the blessing of govt etc ..
.. so it is very nice to be able to share this video & photos showing the ‘bones of our huge foundation building’ rapidly going up.
We still have so much to do but we are in the exciting phase .. it may take a bit more time but with well driven and passionate people with the EF boys & girls .. they will grow this project for sure and make us proud 🙂
