this brother is winning in life... happy life, marriage and so on.
  • I live in the Philippines, don't think that everything is paradise, filipino's have their own way of living, if you are annoyed by barking dogs, karaoke (loud) at night and roosters that crow at all times of the day, then maybe the Philippines is not for you , not to mention the brownouts and poor internet connections. I have adapted, (you have to) but it's not easy. Remember that you can't own a house here, so if your relationship breaks up you are in limbo, I rent a room in which I can do everything you can do in a house, including cooking, I pay p13,500 per month, my water and electricity is included in my rent, and I have air-con running all day. I tried many places before I hit on this one and it is about as good as it gets here. If you rent and your neighbours are giving you hell, you can up and move somewhere else, but if you build or buy a house...! Having said all that, the people are so friendly here and I feel much safer than back in the UK, I met a beautiful filipina 8 and a half years ago and we married in April of this year, I never want to go back to the UK, I will now start the process of applying for permanent residency...

We've lived here for 20 years. Loving life here. I first came here in 1975 and instantly went "Asiatic". We were stationed here in 1985-88. I knew I could retire here and love it. For anyone considering living here... drop the cultural differences and live like a Filipino, you won't regret it.
  • @COCO-KULITZ
I feel proud being a filipino seeing this kind of videos, featuring foriegner's who enjoy there simple life here. It's seem that they're one of those foreigners who god lucky to find a good woman here. God bless you both and enjoy
  • @Skycop24
I started this video a little judgemental but soon realized this man's quality of life is pretty high. It's seems like he wakes up without a worry in the world and is surrounded by a beautiful natural environment and a family that loves/values him. Best wishes from the US of A brotha!
  • Whenever I visit the Philippines, I always feel stress free everyday no matter how hectic the day or tired I am the day before. There’s something about the ambiance especially the people that contribute to a relaxed Philippine lifestyle.

Friendly advice guys, never give money in full when they havent done any work yet. You can haggle for a discount but do it in subtle and diplomatic/friendly way.
  • @ednel143
Its great to see foreigners living simple very happy life in the Phillipines!
  • @xtata

I'm a Filipina/American. I've never been to the Philippines, always wanted to. It's in my plans. I appreciate videos like this. Thank you.
  • Its an adjustment people. But once you make it, You'll never want to go back to where you come from. I lived in the US all my life. Married a Filipino there. We decided to move back. Built a really nice home for about 125 grand with a dirty kitchen out back in Leyte. I have been here for 3 yrs now. And I speak some Tagalog as her family teaches me. Once you are accepted by a Filipino family, your life there gets better and the neighbors also accept you. There are some inconveniences. But you get use to them and learn quickly. The Philippines is my home now and I have applied for Residency. Once the word gets out in the Barangay you are... good people, Filipinos open their hearts to you and treat you as one of them.
  • I miss the Philippines, specially my family, the food and its simplicity. Me and my husband as early as now started to buy a simple house and lot for our future retirement. And will look forward to find more places to invest soon. America is a land of opportunity, Philippines is a paradise. Nothing beats home 🥹 Thanks for this video 😊
  • @Zee_1003
i love that the Americans who come here realize that simple, stress-free living is more important than having everything you need and want within reach or have more expensive or high quality things. you will only be happy if you are content with what you have and accept that there's a different with the way of life here and in the US.
  • I wanted to say to you that thank you for adopting the life in the Philippines! Well let me introduce myself, I’m leaving here in Chicago but comparing the lifestyle in the Philippines it’s much better as well, but I’m coming back home in Long Beach Ca, coz I’m tired of flowing snow! Well all my relatives that retired in the service are back home then, they very happy to be back home and I have a lot of American friends that retired in subic pampangga now! So have a happy life!!!!

50k house, $700 a month in expenses, younger Philippina wife! Not a bad life.
  • @paulk8444
Chaz was so gracious to show us his home and I loved how he had one built for her brother's family as that alone shows ow the Philippina people are so family oriented as Corey as a Good Stressfree life with a Loving wife ahead of him with Rachel as he's Living The Dream. I'm going o Cebu in Nov. with a buddy and his wife of 15 years a strong but sweet Filipino who they have been after me for years to join them.
  • @roymeadow2076
Corey this is the best video I have seen about Philippines I'm so grateful and thankful
  • @charlier8573
Living in the middle of the rain forest, mosquitoes, flash flooding and other natural disaster is not for everyone. Much respect for you gentlemans doing it 👏
  • @ptme2420
I’ve been living in the states for 30 years now. I can’t help but feel nostalgic whenever I see videos like these. Yes, it’s a lot more convenient here, but I’m never truly happy. Everyday I wish I am back in the Philippines. Well, 10 years shouldn’t be that long of a wait… 😔
  • God bless you and the family and please have a Merry Christmas and a Happy upcoming New Year. Thank you for all the great video's and the life you all have shared with me over the years. I feel like a part of your family for allowing me to be a part of that life. From my family to your family Thank you and God Bless
