  • I feel like it's almost tradition now to make the elder wand plot device completely ridiculous...I LOVE IT
  • Somehow, I wonder how they always make the wand ending thing MORE complicated than before
  • I actually prefer a different scenario. I believe Draco killing Dumbledore could be the very thing that sets up Draco's redemption arc. Hear me out, Draco's allegiance is very unstable when he faces Dumbledore but he's pushed JUST over the edge to actually cast the killing curse. But he ends up being so shaken by his own actions that he begins to doubt his cause in ernest. Snape, of course, is still on his side and would notice and nourish these doubts. I'm not going to go in to all the details of how it might play out but I can see this story leading up to Draco feeling true remorse for what he's done and thereby fixing is torn soul.

Brothers, I have a What If scenario for you that could make for a very interesting video. What if Fudge believed Harry at the end of the Goblet of Fire? How much does this change the Order of the Phoenix? Does Umbridge still become Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor? Does Sirius still die at the Battle of the Ministry? There are lots of questions this what if brings up and I'd be interested to hear your opinions and theories on this matter.

I don't believe for one second that Voldemort would consider Draco's service as reason for not killing him to take control of the elder wand. He didn't think about all the things Snape had done for him. Someone else's service is meaningless to Voldemort if they stand in the way of him gaining power.

I love that Ben's "hey brother" is just steadily getting longer. Eventually it'll be the whole video 😂
  • This was epic, I loved full-evil Draco. And it's a funny contrast to his more heroic take in your "What if Harry went into Slytherin" series
  • Another version of this What if, is if Draco still said the spell but his heart wasn’t in it. Similar to when Harry tried the cruciatus curse on Bellatrix at end of OotP, it only knocked her off her feet. It’s plausible that Draco’s spell would knock Dumbledore off the tower (to his death) but would Draco’s soul remain in tact that way? Would he somehow know (and feel guilt) that he killed Dumbledore but not the way Voldemort intended???
  • For me that deleted scene from the last movie in which draco throws his wand to harry in front of voldemort will always be canon. Thats how his character was ment to develop.
  • That got very twisty at the very end, and I'm not sure what I think about the final events, but there's one thing I think would happen differently: Even if the protection of the twin cores was broken, Voldemort still believed Draco was the master of the Elder Wand. There's no way he would have let Draco live, and Draco would have met his end in Snape's place.

I have more scenarios: 1. What if Harry did learn occlumency from Snape? 2. What if Kreature didn't betray Sirius?
  • @GrahamAC
I love these "what if..?" episodes, they always get me so invested!
  • @PanBookworm
I have another “What If…” scenario. What if Sirius took Harry from the Potters’ house after Lily and James were killed instead of Hagrid? What if Sirius raised Harry? Would Sirius still die at the Battle of the Department of Mysteries? How much would this change Harry’s life?
  • @asthmaticbee
I laughed out loud when Voldy called Draco the boy who lived because he served him thrice, I'm in stitches.
  • @aglet1321
Okay but the wand allegiance part was even more confusing that in the original storyline 😆
  • @balbert24
I like that you finished this off with "The Flaw in the plan" The single greatest chapter in the Potter book series
  • Can you do a "what if Draco was in Griffindoor" series, like what you did to Harry. I feel like that would've changed the trajectory of the books. Like he might’ve even warned Harry about Voldemort returning in book 4, since Lucius would've made comments about the dark mark getting stronger like what karkaroff said to Snape. And if he was warned, he might’ve left the graveyard before Wormtail came out so Cedric would be alive Edit: I also think Draco hesitating on the astronomy tower and trying so half-heartedly to kill Dumbledore is a giveaway to him not being a true slytherin. If he was, he would've taken the glory of killing Dumbledoor and becoming such a high-ranking Death Eater
  • Overall, I really enjoyed the theory, especially the Elder wand bit. However, I think Draco should have arranged for Voldemort to die BEFORE the battle of Hogwarts or at least halfway through. Forbidden Forrest perhaps? That way you have Draco fully set up as a terrible but worthy successor to him well before his own defeat as well as leaving the intrigue of the wand for a while.

What if Lupin joined the Golden trio in their Horcrux hunt?

When will be happening the next chapter for "what if Petunia was a witch?"
