What a unbelievable time at taking in Virginia Metal Detecting for lost artifacts from the American Civil War. Each time I get the opportunity to attend one of these metal detecting events they are always something special to me. I get the chance to find something I’ve never found, to hang out with old friends, and make new ones. This time at Digging in Virginia was no exception and exceptional time was had by all.     What an amazing hunt and finds. Seeing the rubber poncho was very cool. So many bucket listers of mine you all were digging out of the ground. I hope to one day get to detect a location like this. Congratulations on the Eagle Plate. I just happened to find one this summer that a soldier must have brought home.     Great episode, Matt. What fantastic finds. I can only imagine what it must feel like to dig these pieces of history. I get goose bumps from just watching the video. Lol. I positively love those big three ringers!! Not a whole lot of them in Wisconsin, as you might imagine. Keep the coils swingin, and the camera rollin!!!
