Can’t believe WI, SL and Pak teams have pretty well collapsed now. These teams were very fearsome and had the very best players in 90s.. good old days, I really used to love watching cricket.. in 2023, cricket is no longer exciting as we don’t get to see players like Lara, Chandarpaul, Jayasuriya, Waseem akram, Waquar, Shoaib, Walsh , Ambrose, Sachin, Ganguly, Gary kirsten, lans klusner, Jonty Rhodes .. even zimbombwe also used to have very good players .. 20-20 has ruined the game .. ICC should organise more ODI and test matches .. triangular series.. long tours like 5 tests and 5 ODIs ..

I remember this match. Chanderpaul was not known as someone who could score 10 of last 2 balls , or may be his credentials in test cricket and in ODIs as a defensive player who stood like a wall overshadowed this ability. This was the era when t20 was just getting famous. Scoring may be 4/6 in last ball is something by itself a miracle, but having to score 10 runs of 2 balls was next to impossible those(even in these days it is not easy) days in ODI cricket. More importantly scoring 4 first and then having to score 6 means as tiniest of the probabilities as figuring out a salt granule in sugar(against scoring 6 first and then hitting a 4), but Chanderpaul just proved all odds wrong.
