Thank you so much for sharing your story! I have Hashimoto's and hypothyroidism as well, and have had a similar (negative) experience with doctors. Changing my diet and taking supplements has helped tremendously. My health has improved but some symptoms are still lingering. The naturopath I was seeing two years ago never tested my gut health, and I will definitely do it as soon as possible. Thanks again!

Alot of thyroid meds do not work on Auto Immune Hash. You basically have to fix all the other issues plus put a decoy in your body so your anti bodies attack that and not your actual thyroid. Its horrible I have it and i am struggling big time. It becomes worse if you get pregnant or if you go into menopause. Glad you have a naturopath.

Thankyou for sharing your story with us. I have been on Levothyroxine now for a long while, about 16 years. I can't believe it's that long. I have recently in the last month given up gluten, dairy, sugar and never eat soy before anyway. However, I do eat eggs which are dairy, are you allowed to eat eggs, or shoukd I give them up to make me completely dairy free?

Im just like you, didnt want to take medication...but you need it! You can work on your lifestyle along taking medication, and get yourself back on track, once you are healthy, you can slowly get off medication.
  • You aren’t being stubborn you just don’t want to put harmful medicine in your body I’m the same way my doctor told me that I was one of the most difficult patients she Ever had because I would read and do my research on medicine that she prescribe for me and bring it back and say oh no I can’t take that because of the side effects or what it was made from please don’t let any doctor or anyone force a medication on you because it could possibly hurt you or damage the inside of your body you should try herbal medicine

My primary care doctor argued with me and got really defensive when I said I read hashimotos and hypothyroidism are different. She didnt even want to give me a referral to a specialist. The nurse practitioner had to refer me one I told her the naturopathic doctor said my hashimotos is getting worse

A regular doctor only tests TSH. Even in "normal range" you do not see the full story like T3, T4 and ofcourse thyroglubin antibodies...which can tell u if uou have hashimoto's or graves dusease.

Hi thanks for that video!! How long took you to get rid of anxiety? I'm on medication for 2 months now a lot of my symptoms improved but I'm still hugely anxious and my brain is kinda running all the time..
  • My antibodies were in the 1,000 and I was told wait and see. That was 8 years ago.

I have just been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s my tpo is 1300 my TSH is 0.02 and my t4 is 28.6 I’m struggling to come to terms with the diagnoses

Hi Adaira, are you taking any thyroid medications to help with your Hashimoto’s. Asking as I’m not on taking any thyroid medications but I see that my symptoms are worsening. I was on Aip since June and last month when I tried to do a reintro of rice, it went very badly and I have had brain fog and migraines for more than 2 weeks. Even my food sensitivities have gone through the roof, I’m unable to eat any solid food except carrots and cucumbers. I have been to 7 doctors so far but most of them think I’m delusional when I say that rice made be feel even worse. Did your functional practitioner provide any thyroid medications apart from the supplements that has helped you in healing?
  • Dear I have hashimoto tpo level 850 can please suggest to me diet because I am not taking any supplements
