Injury was the main thing that hindered my progress , looking back in hindsight I would have been a lot better if I was more cautious with training decisions also I think after all these years of training I have finally learnt that progress takes time and doesn’t not proceed in a linear upward fashion swiftly connecting dot to dot like a graph rather it involves periods of progression and periods of regression to reach the ultimate end goal and therefore patience is important , at times we may often feel like we are regressing and it can be frustrating but remember to put things in perspective and keep at it eventually you will break the plateau and reach the next level , as I started to
gain experience and get older I finally start to learn from my mistakes and learn that incremental progression and consistency is much better than over doing it and leading to injury, when I was young I always pushed too hard and thought my body was bullet proof but as I got older and wiser learning from every injury along the way as a injury prone person I now have really learnt to be much more cautious compared to when I first started training but it’s easier said than done and I always come back stronger :)
Some days you may feel like you are in the bin some days you may feel like your on top of the moon, remember that not every session is going to be great and that’s ok , never stop chasing your goals even slow progress is progress and in the long run it will definitely add up and you will be proud! Sometimes we may want it all but remember don’t do too much or too soon or you may suffer the consequence of being greedy for improvement which is injury , also I didn’t have many clips from 2018 as i don’t have a phone back then and most of these these clips were filmed by other peoples phones! Also I might make front flip progression video (5th years

I might learn flash kick in the far future and have that flip under my belt for life since backflip is a prerequisite. but we'll see ........

Good job bro I can do one on a trampoline but not on ground
  • so, your form is ok, however, I have the same problem that I see you are doing wrong... on your current backflip, when you jump up into the flip, your hips and head go back instead of up which means you are getting less height than you could be getting. to fix this, think of trying to keep your eyes on an object in front of you for as long as possible instead of throwing your head back and it should cause you to jump up more and not so far back. and last thing, the rotation from your backflip shouldn't come from your arms and throwing your body back, if you look at other people's backflip that have the form perfected, they get all of their rotation from driving their knees over their head, so you can jump, and then rotate. other than that, good luck!
