It's been 20 years, he upgraded. Seems like the simple solution imo. Edit: so it seems like a bunch of idiots in the replies are just saying "more like a downgrade", the suit literally looks identical so no not a downgrade but he probably upgraded the fabrics to make it more durable and probably has some better lenses. It's not "techy" but it's definitely been upgraded since technology has changed since 2007 and it's Peter Parker what do you expect?

My fav Tom Holland suit will always be the Civil War/Homecoming suit that Tony made him. The kept the classic red an blue pattern with little bit of tweak aka the single black stripe on each arm.
