What should we try next? 👀👀 But I hope more than anything that you guys enjoy this one! I had a list of my own pros/cons about doing this type of work but figured the video is long enough as is. Let me know if you're interested in hearing my thoughts and i'll update this comment! Much love to the Octane Street Fam and Crew Members for all your support 👊

I am a retired teacher. I have been using UberEats and Grubhub full time. I make about $1100 a week. This is a 5 hour morning/lunch shift. I take a three hour break. Then work 3 hours in the evening. Basically an 8-9 hour day. Not easy some days, but pays the bills.

Don’t follow hot spots! Stay in the vicinity of popular restaurants but not where lots of other drivers are sitting. Try finding a area where few(2) or none are sitting. Sit and wait for the better offers. Keep in mind, customers can change/take back their tip. Don’t take orders requiring a lot of drive time/miles.

I have been with Uber 4 years and I decide what orders I am going to accept, lately I have been taking nothing under $9.00 per trip and 4-5 miles, I do less trips but more money and also I seem to be putting gas in the car less. I hope this helps, stay safe.

In NYC manhattan, using 3 app together in lazy time and one app in busy time , delivery with e cycle, or motor scooter, 12 pm to 8 PM work can earn 5500-6500$ dollars monthly

25 deliveries over 9 hours and 5 days for a net of $15 ?!? Good Lordy.
  • @R1ch4rd74
thursday friday saturday sunday and monday 4pm tp 10 pm are the best times in my area. back to back busy down here in tampa bay florida.
  • It’s all area dependent honestly, you need to find a power strip of food meaning you find an area of maybe 3 miles long that’s loaded with food and usually you’ll have the best luck. Also more higher end areas of your town where homes go for a million+ usually those are the most lazy and want their food delivered with the best tips

UberEats has been really slow lately. Some things to try I'd say is take orders that are paying at least $1 per mile or higher. Take only orders paying $7 and up unless the deliver is less than a mile or 2. Try working the peak times for breakfast its typically between 8am-10am lunch time is typically between 11am-2pm & dinner time is typically between 5pm-9pm. Try working only Thrusday-Sunday, Monday-Wednesday is typically the slowest days of the week. It is most definitely oversaturated especially now during the summer months.
  • Some friendly words of advice, we all start somewhere! I've been doing uber eats part time for 250 deliveries or so and have earned $3100 gross. Im also in Ontario. You just have to know your area, know your timing, and try and interact with customers as often as possible and be just yourself and a cheerful/friendly vibe. For better paying orders, give yourself a thermal bag and sign up for the shop and pay orders. The thermal bag, once you confirm it with Uber, will give you bwttwr paying orders more often! Also, being new, tk the scenes with Uber pro/green after about 25-50 completed delivery's, Uber will give you a custom promotion for extra $$$. Just dont let up easy, try and try again, keep yourself busy, and earn that $!

I wish Uber eats would show you a better mapping to show how far the customer is located and they give you a measly 30 seconds to decide how you're going to pick up the food drive all the way to the customers 30 minutes away and then you got to drive 30 minutes back to where all the restaurants are located
  • @LordCubbo
From my experience, Hot spots are 'areas with more orders/trips than normal,' which can/will be misleading. Yes, People with newer accounts or lower completed orders/trips have a lower priority, depending on the client's preference. That being said, on the client's side, if they have the premium plan, their orders will prioritize Gold/Platinum members. But as you showed, the more orders you make, the more Uber sends you trips/deliveries. If you know areas of high traffic, where you see lots of delivery or foot traffic, those are the best areas to 'camp out at.' Early on, I do suggest taking as many if not all the orders you get just so you can get the 'trips completed' number up. The extra order was called a 'Stacked Order' its where multiple orders from a single store, most of the time, they are all going the same way. I do hope this helps you and anyone who is interested in doing Uber or other delivery apps.

"AKA Broke" love the realness! Praying by now you've multiplied and thank you for the video.
  • I won't go under $4 run, cherry pick orders, expanded my area if payout is good. After 9pm,too many drive-thrud,will go in up to 3 cars or cancel it! I stop in parking lots if it's dead or go home and wait. I usually start at home, have a couple nearby places I can walk to for pickup before starting car. Think smart, conserve gas, usage, call support for compensation on attempted order you couldn't pick up,don't leave, get that money!

I just signed up recently too, I have a normal 40 hr job during the week so I'm not too bothered about what my hourly rate is. I learned pretty quick its almost always better to just pick a spot near a bunch of restaurants and make that your hub for the day. Take deliveries from there that don't go too far out and then drive back to your spot. Ignore whatever those zones are doing because it still doesn't guarantee an order and any time you're driving without an active order you're wasting money. Better to just sit and chill for 15-20 mins and wait for a good order to come up instead of driving to an order that may or may not exist or be worth taking. I wouldn't want to try doing uber as my main source of income regardless... good luck out there
  • @snugglbr
I'm in Portland, OR and I avoid downtown like the plague. Once you're downtown, they keep sending you to new downtown pickups. I'll turn it off and head out of the core area. Plenty of deliveries without the hassle.

I did this experiment in Malibu, Calabasas and Agoura Hills here in northern Los Angeles. I had basically the same experience. It worked out to like $10/hr and even less when I considered the gas I used! It felt like so much work for $10/hr and all the wear and tear on my car (2019 BMW 440i). I had planned that if it seemed to be profitable, I would consider getting a used Hyundai Elantra or similar 4 cylinder. I also tried DoorDash and other apps and they all gave the same notice that you received. Even if I had the absolute most efficient car, I couldn’t imagine making any money at all. I only tried for 2 days because by the end of day 2 I just couldn’t see it being anything good. Especially in Malibu, CA😓

Enjoyed your content I been doing Uber for 3 years The key is to learn from every delivery To get better I live in vegas I do Uber 5 hours daily I get good tips across the board I learn from my mistakes When I was a rookie I took whatever Now that I at platinuim level I very selective I stay in a hot spot Without driving around I take a variety orders that meet my criteria My goal is 25 dollers an hour I drive a Honda fit I will not drive far away for a high amount I break even with tips My limit for deliveries 20 min or less I do not expect every delivery to be 5 min Be realistic My system works well I cash out once a month I turn my app off while delivering and turn back on once I at hot spot Parked U have to find what works best for U Good success👍

I do Uber Eats Deliveries in the Mississauga/Brampton/Oakville/Milton area and one thing I can tell you is the hotspot areas aren’t always guaranteed money. I generally look at the Earning Trends map to pinpoint and see what times and areas are good. Just because it’s orange or red doesn’t always mean it’s the best area to be for deliveries. There are days where I absolutely make $80-100 in 4 hours, however some will be dead and slow. On the slower days I recommend accepting most offers as it helps with your acceptance rate. The busier/profitable days you can decide on whether you want to take all offers or not.
  • I delivered pizza off and on for like thirty years (full time the first three.) My first delivery whip was also a V8-powered Detroit muscle-sled. It became 4-cylinder Toyota pickup trucks after that, the second one sticking with me for over 27 years.
