I’m 54 years old I love football and I look at this guy as a child I am pulling for him in every way.
  • I had an automobile accident July 8th 22 an had no heart beat for exactly 9 min.....very similar To the athlete.... after 3 days in chemicsl In duced coma I came out and was basically fine, even though they told my family I had less that 5% chance of survival initially.... two week after I was back at gym and working 40 hrs per week.....Demar hopefully will do better!!! Pray for him
  • I can honestly say not much makes me cry, but I shed tears for this young man. Seeing the reaction of his teammates and everyone around was heart breaking as well. Prayers for his full recovery.
  • I'm glad to see both teams and the home crowd all come together for a fallen human being. They kneeled and prayed for him. There's people in Buffalo as well as Cincinnati outside, standing, kneeling or sitting, praying and wishing him well. I watched a large crowd outside the hospital in Cincinnati where Damar was taken to. Great to see humanity come together, hoping to see him get well and comeback. Wish the world would do the same when good people are down. Regardless, if you dislike someone for any reason, you would want to see the person get well.
  • Life is so fleeting. You never know when it's your time or when something tragic can happen to you. Life everyday as if it were your last. Praying for this young man and his friends and family.
  • Great, detailed medical assessment. It really helps to understand the situation. Thank you! Prayers for Damar and his family.

I had a cardiac arrest during a 5K running event. Luckily a fellow runner who knew CPR saw me collapse. The race was on a looped trail so the runners returned to the spot I collapsed. There were firefighters in that group of runners and they started a tag team of CPR before the EMT's arrived with an AED. I was shocked 3 times before my pulse returned. I was then rushed to a hospital with a cath lab and received 2 stents to my "widow maker" artery immediately. I had been pulseless for 12 minutes. The quality CPR and conditioning had kept me from sustaining any major organ failure or brain damage. A year later I returned to the same race and was able to participate and finally thank the first responders in person. Damar Hamlin also received the best out-of-hospital response and hopefully Damar Hamlin will have the same results as me.
  • It hurts when anyone is injured, but this young person was just doing his job, and that, to me, is even more tragic. I hope he makes a full recovery 🙏.

very insightful input from the doc. seen a couple of medical experts comment on this incident, this guy was by far the most insightful and useful.
