When I install Mod engine 2, with the same steps as in the video, in the launchmod_eldenring file, I do not get the ".bat" nor does it let me start elden ring by clicking on that file. Do you know why this is?

Do mods affect the appdata file? I mean if I only use skin mods and want to update my backup data once in a while and if I also want to go back to vanilla once in a while can I just copy the current files in my Elden Ring data files and replace the outdated backup files with them or do I need to take more steps?

I tried applying a mod (raptors set colour change) using mod engine 2 and it didnt work. Even when the 'mod engine 2' was inside the game main files folder. The bat file that was supposed to launch the game... didnt do so. So i changed it's name to 'start_protected_game.exe', still didnt work. A small black screen appeared just for a fraction of a second and that was it. Mod engine 2 (folders and files) being into the main game folder or otherwise didnt change a thing. The anti cheater toggler would only work on the original 'start_protected_game.exe' file, so i am unable to use the exe (modengine 2 launcher)/bat (eldenring_launcher.bat) from modengine 2. When using the original '*.exe' file (the one that worked for the anti cheat off mod) the game was able to launch normally, but with no mod whatsoever. Any help? *The 'raptors set mod' files were only dcx files inside the 'parts' folder.

This has been very informative. However, I have questions. Are texture/mesh replacers bannable? Assuming yes, can a save file, having used a mod to replace the mesh and texture of an existing armor, continue as is after removing said mod? Or would I have to overwrite with a clean backup save? If it isn't obvious, I haven't modded any fromsoft game before.
