I’ve been been thinking about picking up one of of these for nostalgia I had nothing but good times on my first bike, the XR 250 I’m struck by the fact that it still sounds like a lawnmower, cutting grass at idle just close your eyes and you can see it

I have ridden the 250r. Many years ago. Riding it through a rockpile off road with 12" travel front and nearly that rear it was like a Cadillac, or Rolls Royce in the rough. Absolutely easy to do just about anything. Lucky you still have it, mine was stolen.
