Finding Jurassic dinosaur tracks in St. George, Utah ! Come with me to check out this free track site in southern Utah. The tracks are in the Kayenta geology formation. I will share two sets of tracks with you and discuss the size of the dino that made the large ones , could it have been an Allosaurus?

    The Kayenta Formation is of Early Jurassic age, somewhere in the vicinity of 195 million years old. The Late Jurassic epoch, during which dinosaurs such as Diplodocus_, _Stegosaurus_, and _Allosaurus are well known from eastern Utah, is roughly 150 million years ago. No rocks of Late Jurassic age are present in southwestern Utah (alas).

    The Theropod footprints may be possibly an Allosaurid or Coeleurosaurid.... I don't think it would be a giant raptor....
