Today we try a different approach to getting that 4,200 lb white oak log home safe and sound. Maxing out our ATV log arch but it manages to get the job done

There are a lot of dogs watching this Adam thinking "Now if I had that level of kit, no stick or log would ever be left behind again" 🐕

The geometry of a log trailer IS the lifting lever. Back the log trailer over the log and pick your spot. Then lift the tongue of the trailer high into the air until the apex of the trailer rests on the log. Chain it tight at the contact point while the tongue is in the air. Chained? Now pull the tongue back down to the log. The log will lift off the ground. Now ratchet strap it securely,, No winch required.

Good job, Adam. Good to see a 'country boy' figure it out. Respect. In Namibia, we say, "A farmer makes a plan."
  • It’s wild what fulcrum, pulleys and will power will accomplish. This was an awesome video. Thanks for keeping all the trials that didn’t work in the vid!

The best part of this video is that you’re going to have a piece of family history that you will never forget where it’s from. Peace
  • Make more videos at the lake house - tour the inside, go out on a boat, do drone footage, fish on the dock / shore, interview your parents - that place made me feel rich and relaxed.

Kudos to Doug for his structural modifications. They stood up to the ultimate load test!

Did a great job. The one thing I would probably use is the tow lights. But you had your parents behind you so all went perfectly.

That worked really well, but for a heavier trailer with same concept. Look into a used LPG tank carrier. They are tandem axle, have removable support bars for bottom of tank, and a massive 12,000 lb winch. Easily carry some very large logs and they are street legal to boot!

The way I figure if it does work then it is absolutely legal, no questions asked!! I think you maxed out the limit with that log.

Can’t wait to see how you get it on the mill. I struggle getting 1500 pounds logs onto mine.

That's a huge accomplishment. Your parents' Airbnb is so beautiful - wow, what a treasure! Y'all are a hard-working, loving family - great videos. God bless y'all abundantly!! 🥰🙏🥰👍
