Akio Toyoda - “No more boring cars!” Toyota beancounters at corporate headquarters…👂🏼”No more boring prices!”
-
Toyota engineers designed a decent new truck then corporate ruined the whole thing by stripping once standard features and jacking the price up to ridiculous levels.
-
I agree a truck that immediately broke is definitely in the running for current benchmark 🤣.
-
The Ranger Raptor was designed and engineered in Australia with thousands of kilometres of driving on rough corrugated roads. That is why it does so well on dirt roads with corrugations .
-
I'm not a Ford guy, but this Raptor owns this segment now. With the locker, real tires, and especially the upgraded engine, it's more special than the TRD Pro for less money. I think the ZO2 is the ultimate bargain in this category, but the upgraded engine and trick rear suspension make this most likely worth the money over the ZR2.
-
Seems like everyone forgot the Taco 4WD broke during light off roading. Then Toyota never really addressed the issue except replacing the entire front diff.
-
43 psi in the tire on the raptor. No wonder bad traction. 👀
-
The Ranger Raptor was designed, engineered and tested in Australia. It was put through some of the most rugged terrain imaginable. It is now the bench mark for the midsize truck category.
-
The new Tacoma TRD Pro is 50% more expensive than the outgoing version. Think about that for a second. This is corporations treating the general public like idiots, helped by reviewers who shrug their shoulders and just say stuff like 'everything is more expensive'. Inflation is only partially to blame. The rest is a term called "greedflation" where corporations see just how far they can push prices while crying crocodile tears.
-
There's no perspective that makes this look affordable.
-
The guys mention Toyotas great reliability at the beginning of the video… didn’t the TFL Tacoma lose 4wd catastrophically in their first off road drive? I smell bias.
-
I really wish the buttons for the lockers were not on the touch screen. What were they thinking_ This is not a Tesla. It is a truck!
-
TFL, when testing the 10spd in low it defaults to second gear, one needs to manually select first gear which is a granny low. This is something I never see people do in reviews. It really makes a difference crawling!
-
It’s pretty bold to open the video claiming the latest gen Taco is the new benchmark and justifying with payload when the new Ranger has much better payload.
-
This turned into a Ford commercial pretty quick. I bet Toyota and the fan boys are pissed!😂
-
If this the current benchmark every other truck has surpassed this "benchmark"
-
Ranger Raptor is the new bench mark
-
I just bought a 24 Frontier Pro4x and I couldn’t be happier 😊

I noticed the low hanging hitch wiring on the Ranger as well. I predict relocating it will be a popular mod.
