Path of Titans | This Update has MASSIVE Potential:

In the near future, Path of titans will add 2 new critters to its AI exclusive roster as well as enhancements to their corresponding spawn systems, creating more depth to that side of the game.

The debate regarding NPC dinos in path has been getting traction ever since the big announcement made on their April’s Devblog, when they showcased their huge advancement in server capacity optimization which would in turn give them the leverage of increasing the quantity and complexity of bot dinos, making people wonder just how much would Alderon focus on that specific department and most importantly, how exactly can said focus benefit the game overall.

The isle is making the game for themselves not the audience whereas Path of Titans is making the game for the audience and not for themselves

Questing and AI go hand in hand. This is why I'm a pro-AI player for Path of Titans specifically. With AI running around, it vastly expands the complexity and fun that we can have with quests. Here are just some ideas of benefits it could bring: - Defense quests/modes - Threat of ambushes at any time - Bounty quests - Alternate spawn via hatchling from AI - Virtually zero empty servers, AI fill spots players don't take - More immersion from running into creatures everywhere you go - Can be coded with complex eating and sleeping behaviors, maybe even being able to join player groups and help solos survive The possibilities just go on from there. I am REALLY excited for Path's future.

Im starting to understand why people left the isle dev team to make their own game.

PoT actually moving forward in its development, while the isle struggles to implement half baked playables/mechanics

AI dinos will help players not to go all to hotspots. It will help spread the area. Players who's against AI are just talking nonsense. This game isn't pure pvp. It's rpg too so npc will happen.

They really should add one for the mid tiers Like amphibian and reptile carnivore and herbivore

One word: Bosses. PoT is kind of promoted as "the dinosaur MMO" but it isn't really. Sure there objectives to help you grow but the endgame is basically PvP/Survival like all the other dino games. Adding bosses could give an alternative goal at endgame, being difficult to impossible to take down solo and dropping a shit ton of coins as a reward to buy skins, maybe even unlock skins exclusive to those that defeated the boss.

Yes i agree, a lot of people just play to experience the dinosuar interactions and experience, having bots around wouldnt be a bad idea as it would feel more involved and add to the games atmosphere. Good stuff.

Dynamic missions would pair perfectly with AI, like GW2.

If they add GOOD or even decent AI, and a good questing system, Path of Titans could easily become one of my favorite games of all time. I would literally buy every Dinosaur DLC they make once they modernize the gameplay, so if I'm not alone in that then they really stand to make a lot of money with updates like these

I'm obviously very excited about A.I creatures in PoT, mostly due to the interaction. I think one of the things PoT suffers from the most is getting players immersed, looking at its competitor The Isle for a moment we can see that players can grow and fight but also nest and create specific builds by the food they eat - compared to PoT, The Isle is a more immersive experience. A.I. for PoT can change that radically and I think a majority of the players (I assume since most top servers are realism servers) want to truly get into the headspace of their playable.

This game DESPERATELY needs AI. So many issues people have could be tackled with the help of some dynamically spawning dinos. Without it every server, even the realism ones, eventually devolve into dino deathmatch around IC. It's just the place to find players across the game unless you want the fun of digging in burrows or touring between corpses with no interaction. Like the devs worked out a whole system for easy PVP, if people are seeking out that experience there's places for it. Quite a large portion of the audience who picked up the "be a dinosaur" game, kind of just want to be a dinosaur in a world that isn't mostly empty of dinosaurs. If it's an MMO-style, add in some rare spawning dinos with better health or damage than their player counterparts. Slap a unique skin on them and give it to the player(s) if they kill that dino. Let players be parents! They build a nest, give them some AI kids to protect through adolescence for big quest rewards. Maybe slot that into player nesting and some eggs are players. Have that "kill herbivore" quest tag a nearby AI dino specifically to kill. Maybe if you're a laten it's a baby with an angry parent, maybe if you're a rex it's an eo with a partner.
