This movie should have repeatedly been nominated for many awards. The actors and cast were absolutely phenomenol. They should be recognized even now in 2024. It should be shown on Netflix and other streaming companies.

Being Irish/Mexican I know the struggle Miklo had. I grew up with my Mexican side mainly. I am very white but always felt more Mexican than anything. The part he says about being Chicano always resonated with me.

Love this movie, after so many years still has a beautiful message about life and the choices we make, the actions and cost of those choices.
  • The most quotable 3 hours ever! Every line is gold and when recited in any scenario makes people laugh their ass off because they too know the lines hahah

Should be a warning in this - once you start watching you can’t stop till the end. One of my all time favorites. Saw it when it first came out and again about 10 year later.. and again just now. Vatos Locos forever ✌🏽

This movie hits home for me. Born and raised in LA during the late 70's to the early 2000's. Throughout the flooding of drugs and guns. I seen how Black and Brown was separated to be at war. We experience similar struggles growing up there. But yet we was come accustomed to see each other as enemies. I never subscribed to that agenda of hate. I had Mexican, El Salvadorian, Venezuelan, Panamanian homies and more.... Including any of my Brothas throughout the polynesian islands and West Indies The characters Montana and Bonafide seen the bigger picture of unity at one point. Greed and Selfishness has always been a downfall of our culture among us minorities. And the cycle will continue until we see each other as Brothers and Sisters going through Life's struggles together✊🏾🤙🏽 Black and Brown pride. And All in between... We are all in the same boat

I'm a white republican male and also a Catholic. This movie has spirit and deep, intense family loyalty, which to me, is what the Hispanic culture represents. Love this movie, the irony, the profound love Miklo has towards his Latino brothers. I watch it once a month.
