A big thanks to everyone who supports these projects on Patreon. Your help enables me to do things like spending six weeks developing an auto aiming bow... if you'd like to chip in and get access to some behind the scenes stuff, check out patreon.com/stuffmadehere

This whole channel in a nutshell: “I’m bad at anything skill based , but I’m good at engineering, which actually means I’m actually really good at anything skill based.”
  • Can we appreciate how ridiculously talented this man is? He has mastered about 17 areas of engineering.
  • @SonicBahasa
I'm also impressed by how many skills your wife has. You have built so many things specifically because your wife is good at something you didn't learn, which is fascinating and really entertaining.

To turn this into a Mark Rober quote: "I'm not that good at archery, but I am good at Engineering, so that means I'm actually really good at archery."

Wife should get an award for best supporting role on YouTube at this point!
  • As an engineer myself I applaud you for the patience, dedication and result of this endeviour. Well done Mr. Stuff, well done.

I was wondering myself why the aim and timing was off the rails then you said you were using a recurve 😅 The compound worked because it’s meant to be accurate and consistent. The archer’s paradox is basically non-existant compared to a recurve bow , it’s constantly drawing the same force, same speed . Compound bows are marvelous pieces of tech .

the perfect weapon for fighting enemies wearing reflective balls at close range in a garage with pre-set sensors.
  • Next project be like: “it really bugged me that I couldn’t buy a ticket to Mars, so I just built a rocket myself.”
  • @11:16 "I didn't actually do anything, but it feels like I won." I spent the whole video wondering why you even had to hold the bow. You could just mount the whole system on a stand. I'm convinced the only reason you didn't is because the video would end with your robot shooting you through the kidney.

You need to use Feather arrows if you use the arrow rest on the recurve. If you want to use the vinyl feather you need to install a rest for those arrows. That's what causes the arrows to go up and to the left. Learned that in my College archery class. Lots of fun. Great Vid BTW.

Plot twist: The coding never actually got fixed… he just practiced enough shots to get that good.
  • @ThatMumboJumbo
I can't think of a YouTuber who I look forward to more. This was incredible!
  • @RoterDrache35
It's so insane, what technology is able to do nowadays
  • Cyborg Archer Ben Folds is the fastest subscription I've ever committed to.
  • @GartenFallneX
As an internationally competing archer, I am triggered on so many levels. But as a tech nerd, I am so impressed by your ingenuity and your problemsolving skills!
  • @SirBrandonKing
"Actually designing and making this is going to be a challenge" That's putting it lightly, this is mind-boggingly complex and you make it sound like building a birdhouse

I'm just mad jealous at the near flawless perspective drawings
