One thing I've noticed about watching Allman Brothers Band concert videos from various years: It doesn't matter if it's Duane & Dickey, or Dickey & Warren, or Dickey & Derek, or Derek & Warren -- you're going to hear some of the best rock guitar playing that you've ever heard.
  • This has to be one of their best versions of music 🎶 🎵 👌 😍 I ever heard of In memory of Elizabeth Reed. I still listen to the Allman Brothers in 2023.

Warren is great here, he's smoking! But Dickey, my god, Dickey is the ultimate unsung guitar hero! How is he not one of the greatest guitar players ever? Oh, he is in my world.
  • In Memory of Elizabeth Reed is fantastic the way it's played in this concert. Great guitar 🎸 work and the music stays with you. May Greg Allman RIP, but their music lives on even after 40yrs. This is one of the best guitar solos ever.

45+ years of Allmans in my head...they are the 8th wonder of the world /:-)
  • This version blows me away, WOW! Dickey Betts is a incredible guitar 🎸 😍 👏 player. I agree with the idea of Dickey Betts , meaning it doesn't matter who he plays with, he's the best 😉! I can keep listening to this version over and over again without getting tired of listening to him play.
  • in Memory of Greg Allman.....rest in peace .
  • What band has 4 guitar players on list of top 100 ? You guessed it ABB! Best damn live band to walk the earth! Damn I miss them.
  • I love how Butch always looked like he was solving complex math problems in his head while he was playing. RIP, Mr. Trucks.

Warren's solo 5:52 is probably one of his best - 3 minutes 33 seconds of enlighted playing! Wonderful constructed, tons of musical ideas and yet so emotional! And unbelievable rhythm work pushing him forward.
  • The ABB is easily one of the best live bands to ever take the stage.
  • @lensman8
OMG...this is gotta be one of the alltime best smoking guitar licks from two GREAT,GREAT, guitarists FOR SURE!!!! NOTHING else needs to be said EXCEPT...DON'T MISS THIS ONE!!!!!
  • Great Southern Rock Band. Live at the Fillmore East just rocks. They turn a 3 1/2 min song into a half hour jam session. Absolutely love these guys
  • ...and Warren took over almost seamlessly, till Dickey recovered in style. Great musicians indeed!
  • I keep coming back to this over and over again and what Dickey and Warren do here with tone, phrasing, and emotion is incredible. Warren is a big guy I'm sure with big fingers and what he's doing during his solo especially up around the 20th to 22nd frets is no easy task.
  • Warren Hayes absolutely blew me away, his solo is amazing!
  • Saw them live 7 times when Allen Woody and Warren Haynes first joined The Allman Brothers... Awesome Pair.

At about 8:20 this song steps into another dimension.  Completely transcendent.  So many moving pieces.  Wow.

My Favorite Front 4 Ever... Greg, Dickey, Warren and Allen... This is SMOKIN'.  Every time I listen I hear more things... Woody's bass playing is INSANE!
