This instructor seemed like he was actually a really nice guy ! Pretty cool to see less of a hardass approach
  • @Rycamcam
The training instructor was so humble and gracious at the end where he said you're now his superior. What a gentleman!

I was in the Spanish Army for three years. The maximum amount of pullups I ever did was 20 (with good form). I never ran under 13 seconds. I saw a girl scream with a panic attack in the tunnel (though we did it with more people, going in both directions). This guy's form is absolutely outstanding. You have to have tried this kind of thing to understand how good of a form he has.

The level of niceness on this guy screams competence. I bet he's a monstrous badass in actual combat. That has always been my experience, because exceptional people inherently get confident and real confidence is the opposite of blustering showy insecurity. Those people are Extremely chill.

5:50 very humble man, says he struggles with the pushups too to make Magnus feel better, love teachers like that. Makes learning what he has to teach much better!

I had the pleasure of working with the Spanish Army at Qala E Naw, Baghdis Province, Afghanistan in 2013 right before they left, including 9 of their special operations guys. It was one of the best experiences in my career. And I got my certificate in cutting Iberian Ham!
  • @talbech
The instructor sounded like a great guy who really wanted Magnus to perform well. Awesome job, both of you.
  • @EliosNex
I feel like the instructor was a Magnus fan, he sounded like he was so happy to show magnus how to perform the exercises and his encouragement was spot on! What a great guy! Well done Magnus for another military test passed! Where to next?
  • never stop doing these things Magnus, but also never stop "this stupid climbing thing'
  • @knucklesdk
As a spaniard I can only be thankfull to you for doing this, spreading our ways and showing it from the inside. Thanks a lot mate.

I deployed to Spain as a US Navy Seabee in the mid 80s. I miss Spain, the Spanish People, and of course the food.

Magnus, I really appreciated your effort in this one, because this fitness test had elements that we haven't seen in others. The tunnel/maze test was wild and was definitely more mental than physical. The adherence to strict form in the calisthenics portion increased the difficulty dramatically. Adding weight to the run at the end tested both your physical fitness and mental toughness. The Spanish Special Forces is definitely looking for a specific type of warrior and I gained a tremendous appreciation for the men and women who qualify, and for you. You are a world class athlete. Thank you for this video.
  • I am currently training to take this test here in Spain, this video helped me get a better understanding, thank you Magnus !
  • Being spaniard myself Im glad that you came here to experience the test for the army, it's always said that it is a super hard test but seing you struggle just put into perspective the training some colleagues of mine have to go through. PS. dont say somewhere in spain when you show some of the most recognizables buildings in spain xDD
  • @rafapazos06
The instructor is an absolute class act. Bravo!
  • @BakedisBaker
18:40 When the instructor broke character a little and said “there’s no fu**ing way!” Because he was genuinely shocked at well Magnus performed was so funny to me 😂
  • @takeiteasy8847
I am always incredibly impressed when Magnus performs endurance tests. It is crazy to have a time like this with no special training.
  • @dwaynemadsen964
WOW! Great job! I love that you ended on a high note. I'd love to believe that all Spanish SF Soldiers are like your guide, but I bet they assigned one of the very best at interacting with the media and the public. The feeling of camaraderie really came through in the final video. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe.
