I would listen to Dr. Li all day long. It’s not only because of his knowledge and extremely engaging story telling style but also because of his kindness and humility. Thank you for such a wonderful guest.

Bruce Lee was way ahead of his time , hollywood caricatured him , loved all the movies as a child , later in life realised how ahead of his time he was , passed on to early. Dr Lee is inspirational

He is a great guy. He is warm and also down to earth. I had the honor meeting him in an angiogenesis conference their non-for-profit organization supported many years ago. He inspired to do more volunteer work for the good of all human beings.
  • I'm smiling. Dr. Li is a gifted and amusing educator. My kinda fun.
  • @ciarafhurley
I loved the pod version of this interview, the information is so useful and explained clearly. It's frustrating that we've spent years with this wrong idea of 'fat = bad'
  • Thank you! As a research scientist myself have followed Dr. Li’s fascinating angiogenesis related research for decades. But I think he as a teacher, distilling his wast scientific knowledge and love of healthy foods into simple plain language for everybody understand and benefit I think would impact far more people. Simply because it’s preventative. Thank you both for such an engaging discussion!

I am a diabetic using ozempic. But it is not magic like people think. I was giving no dietary on nutrition guidance beyond when I already knew but couldn't do. While ozempic does help me not crave carbs I still had to do the work of overhauling my eating patterns. Over the last months I have moved to a more plant-based diet. Still some meat but much less. More fish. Just started losing weight a few weeks ago. Started intermittent fasting by eating for only 7 or 8 hour window day six days a week. Thank you to Dr. Li for your book and all these interviews. I have been doing some of the things you've talked about instinctively. Going to get book. So much confusing nutrition info is out here Your approach makes sense and voice of reason backed by research. Learning alot. Approved for Ozempic for 3 years. I do not want to be on it forever. They say you have to be on it forever or you go back to former eating patterns. I hope this is not true. Going to put in the work eating with the knowkedge in your book tailored to me. And then I hope that will be a new habit eventually getting off the medicine after a little while of being at proper weight. I also walk every day 8500 to 12000 steps a day.

  • I am very inspired by your conversations. You have answered many questions which I had about how to maintain health. Thank you for the great way you simplify complicated facts based on scientific data. Your enthusiasm is very catching. I have been focusing for five days on the principles that you convey. The results are manifesting! It’s unbelievable and surprising too. So from kiwis, blueberries and.. I can see a new being emerging. I feel as if that an interesting youthful transforming thing is happening. A glow which has erased a duller reflection. Eating what I like is the path for me. It’s awakened my intuitive faculty and has defined and refined and enriched the quality to my life style. I plan to purchase your books to share with those who will benefit. Life saving advice. A true genius who’s voice, empathy generous soul is actually changing everything. With such courage and dedication to reach past marketers, politicians and uninformed. I recognize your unbelievable ability to communicate the purpose and meaning of living in’s life to the fullest. Not profit motivated a true miracle of a man! Spreading magic pearls !!!

I've always wondered why grocers like Whole Foods or Fresh Thyme are not better at introducing people to the more exotic produce selections . Whether they would have a weekly prep and taste offering, or a in house workshop, I think it would be helpful to educate people on these healthy foods. Most of us stick to what we know.
  • During covid craved fresh oranges and it was in winter season of 2020.It made me feel good and used it as food to easy digest and to give me energy.
