Amazing Grace: Text by John Newton and an anonymous author. Melody is a 19th century American melody.

Song: Amazing Grace

NOTE: I edited the backing track to shorten the amount of verses I would play. If a transition doesn't sound perfectly right in the accompaniment, it is due to my editing and not ProSound Karaoke Band.

Lyrics (I only played three verses):

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come;
'Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far
and Grace will lead me home.

When we've been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we've first begun.

Equipment:

I once saw a young lad of maybe 12 years standing on a bridge in Würzburg, Germany, playing this song on a trumpet. He was not even noticing people around him passing, he just stood there and played this song. While everyone else was busy walking, I think I was the only one stopping over and listening to him and it was a wonderful moment. You remind me of that moment! Thank you!

Meine Mutter ist am 6 Februar gegangen und ich freue mich sie wiederzusehen! My mother left on February 6th and I'm happy to see her again!
  • During this Pandemic we still saying how amazing grace we are still alive.
  • Sounds amazing! I used to play trumpet in high school and I was fairly good at it. I was going to pick it up again, but a motorcycle accident I had this summer, prevented that. I had to have my face reconstructed. Everything is still healing but i dont think I'll be able to play again.  Keep up the great music and I look forward to hearing more from you.
  • Very good articulation, tone, and great key change at 2:02 I have been in band, and while I do not play the trumpet, this is one of the best trumpet versions of Amazing Grace, by FAR!!!!
  • I have heard Amazing Grace in many different versions from around the world, but the smoothness of the trumpet brings out a special quality in this great piece. Thank you, george traganos

WOW!!!!! Fantastic!!!! You are one talented and blessed trumpet musician. As a fellow brass player you have and awesome tone. Would love to play the trumpet but as a tuba player my chops would never hold up to trumpet standards! Keep up the good work.
