Thanks for yr videos! Can you tell us in the next one how did u learn the stuff, when did u start, why do you have a studio now, and who you are? Thx! :D
  • 600Hz, with that steep of a slope, with those verbs... don't they sound wispy, insubstantial to you? Maybe try a bit of Goldplate on those vox instead, a little drive, no compresion, set the HPF between 200-300, LPF 1k-3k... it'll sound so much more plush and vibey. May not be your thing, I like things on the warmer/fuller side. Add a little feedback delay pre-verb, get that Nigel Godrich vibe happening fast :-)
  • In a situation where I'm using reverb as send effect, what would you say is the difference between using the reverb plug-in built-in filter (or EQ) and putting an EQ before the reverb plug-in? How do the two techniques affect the mix?
  • I have a question unrelated to the video. Do you notice a diminished performance by placing the Focal Alphas sideways? I have the same monitors and the tweeter is too high for my ears but I read in the manual and elsewhere that placing them sideways can cause comb filtering since they weren't designed to be used horizontally. Thanks for the great content!

Those speakers shouldn’t be placed sideways. I mean they can… but they can’t
