Laing is a Filipino dish composed of dried taro leaves and coconut milk. This delicious dish is the pride of the province of Bicol. It has been popular within the Philippines and in some countries too. I think that this dish needs the international attention that it deserves. I hope that this video along with the details (see link above) will help to raise awareness to the international community for this dish to be recognized.

    Ganyan talaga ang pag luto ng laing sa Bicol. Hindi na ginigisa. Pero kung gusto nyong igisa pwede rin. Bikolano po ako.☺

    Sangkutsa muna ung pork,then set-aside igisa naman ung sibuyas,luya at bawang sa pinag gisahan ng pork tpos add ung coconut milk para kumapit ung lahat ng flavors sa gata at mas malasa pag ganun. so ung maabsorb na gata ng leaves ay mas may flavor. :) if you want spicy, igisa nadin un sili!

    Sarap nyan...ganyan ang gusto kong luto ng laing, original bicol. Di na iginigisa dahil mismong gata nya nagmamanitka na. Pakukuluin muna yung coconut milk (pangalawang gata) then lagay na yung laing, after ilang minutes lagay na yung coconut cream or unang gata. Wait until matuyo...wow sarap talaga.

    Gumagamit din ako ng tuyong dahon ng gabi na similar sa ginagamit mo. Bakit ba napakatagal iluto nung dahon ng gabi? As in super tigas. Nilagay ko na sa pressure cooker pero di pa rin lumambot ng todo.
