  • Particularly enjoyed this one. Great show and enjoy the history lessons too. You gave hit on the perfect format Alexander.
  • For electricity free silver cleaning, loosely wrap your object in aluminium foil and dip in a warm solution of sodium carbonate aka washing soda. The hydrogen evolved from the aluminium foil will reduce the black silver sulfide and oxide back to silver. You may notice a rotten egg smell while doing this.
  • @Spitalhatch
Another great outing and you had me laughing as well! Thank you Alex.
  • @scousewillo62
I am really hooked on your channel, so much knowledge of detecting and history. I have learned so much. Thank you for your time and work to produce these amazing videos
  • The electrolysis cleaning bit was very interesting, you continue to inspire, inform and entertain.
  • Brilliant 25 mins Alexander. Very interesting coin cleaning looking forward to the video on that. And I have to say you do find some amazing artifacts them acorn belt mounts are beautiful keep these amazing finds coming wishing you the best of luck my friend
  • I was laughing about your time management comment as I’m gridding the only tiny patch of land I have available and digging everything. It’s worth it sometimes when conditions and time of year are what they are. I dream of the short moist ground we had a few months ago. Loved the video and even enjoyed the Roman history. I must be coming down with something 😂. Best finds were the mounts in my opinion. Both acorns are beautiful but the one with the leaves is very special 😍
  • @BigMole543
Well just stumbled on this after very quickly getting bored with the youtube 'stars' waffle and Tics. This is incredibly well presented and enthuism and history lessons make this by far the best thing on youtube. Going for a box set binge at the moment so lot to get through - god you find a lot of stuff!
  • @jaycan65
Totally agree with your theory of not digging everything who wants to dig more for less 👌
  • Fantastic show Alex 👏 really like your enthusiasm and honesty on the hobby. It can be a tough call on cleaning finds and you only know how far you can go until it gets worse. It's like motorcycle racing , you only know how fast you can go till you fall off 😄. Love them acorns ! Oaks are very symbolic
  • The only good thing about digging up all the dross, is that only the finer stuff is left in that area - hopefully. Another fine vid. Enjoyed the science lesson, & the acorns. Thanks again Alexander.
  • @vogt1949
DAMN THE RING PULLS!! FULL SPEED AHEAD!!! What a fun clip! I really enjoyed it, my friend!! Hope all is well with you Tasci!!!! Not much doing here in L.A. today, found some nice Lon Chaney Jr. Production stills from The Wolfman yesterday, so not a completely lost weekend!.....Another day in EphemeraLand!! Waiting for you to find Oliver Cromwell's head emblazoned with Kashmiri rubies in the eye sockets!!! Take care, Alex!!
  • @jaynehorn151
Alex the silver is a wonderful find. I’m always stunned; when watching British mudlarking and metal detectors, how much rubbish is in the rivers & paddocks and on the shores of England.
  • @donreed417
Jolly good video. Jeez. A hammered, A 1000 yr old hammered and medieval items. I'd be up at daybreak to go again. Well done
  • @lvanderwerff

  • Very enjoyable Alexander, I'm glad I went to sleep early and woke to see HH in my notifications. The ring is a Pandora, looked to be the gold painted over silver. All the best cheers Arthur
  • Lovely pastoral setting with good weather.I do like that second acorn mount, never seen one like that before though i have found a couple of the former.
