Hiking Guide to Street and Nye - Adirondack High Peaks

Street is named for Alfred Billings Street, a NYS law librarian and author of the book The Indian Pass. Nye is named for William Bill. Nye, a guide from North Elba who famously carried Matilda across the Hitch-Up-Matilda ford on Avalanche Lake.

"wolf spider bridge". also huge pointing out that split for the old ski trail. i completely missed that the first time I did this hike and added a good 2.5 miles to the day

how is this trailess hike? still have not done one. was going to attempt to do this as my first any advice

Can I ask - why do some of these High Peaks trails continue to be unmarked? Is there a reason that they havenāt gotten markers yet? Iām hoping to do the 46 with my kids starting this summer. The oldest two will be 9 and my hope is to get about 6 done this summer. I worry about adding Street and Nye to my list because of the (even slight) danger of getting lost, and Iām just wondering if you have insight as to why they arenāt labeled at this point. Thanks!
