My dad worked at a 3D0 so that was my first console and I've literally never met another human being who's owned one lol.
  • Google Stadia instantly became so irrelevant that I honestly completely forgot about its existence until you mentioned it
  • The Wii U feels like a strange case where the console itself was a failure, but has an absolutely stunning library of games.

If you ever want to go down a crazy rabbit hole, look up the Gizmondo. Failed portable console who’s CEO turned out to have ties to the Swedish mafia and crashed a Ferrari. It’s banana sandwiches

I remember having a Wii U when I was younger, and I had a good experience with it despite the poor sales. Everyone I talked to would ask me "Hey, do you have any games?" and I would be like "Yeah, I have some". Then when asked what console I had, I told them I had a Wii U. They usually looked at me "wtf is that?".

This is like playing 3DO at Gex’s house.

When I was a teen I watched and rewatched AVGN time and time again and again and again. Now, in my mid-20s, this video felt like a very welcome trip to the past. Thank you
  • The Sega Dreamcast and Wii U wasn’t even bad consoles, they just came out at either bad time, or had bad marketing. I liked playing with both

The Ouya is what happens when a bunch of parents think "Hey how hard can it be?"

The virtual boy will always look like a portable camp grill

I actually enjoyed the Ouya..... For 2 hours before it overheated and permanently broke. So much for that fan they claimed was so powerful since they didn't take in how you had to have proper ventilation.

Despite being 15 when the Virtual Boy came to the US, the perfect age for video games, if I hadn't stuck my face in one at Blockbuster, I never would have seen one. It's such a terrible product that I don't know a single person who bought one.

When I was growing up, if your family owned a Neo-Geo, you were considered RICH!

Day #2 of asking Act Man to make a "Why Is BLOODBORNE So AWESOME?!?!"

My childhood was very lucky and unlucky. My parents opened a Video Store in 1982- 2002. We rented video game consoles and of course many games from all the consoles released during them years. When they decided to close the Video Store, I was able to keep everything gaming. So I became a console collector, I own every US home & Handheld gaming unit ever made with the exception of the NintendoStation. I even went back and got the Magnavox Odyssey from 1972. What sad is, that I do own every console you showed off. Except the Japan consoles and I agree with you in every way.
