Officer McLauchlan Ephrata Police, (509) 754-2491. We cannot allow another Kelly Thomas killing. On my way home I stopped to monitor. Instead of helping the man the officer uses his truck block the view while he abuses him.

Camera was low mis-focused but you can see the them on the left at 0:18 just before the officer attacked. From my higher vantage I could clearly see the victim stumbling and doing nothing wrong, the officer then threw him down in front of the truck. What you see is me jumping out of the truck at that point and running over, questioning the officer. I did request public records but the city claims they have no dash or body video. I did talk to a family member who said the man came out OK He was not arrested and was simply taken to the hospital.

When we intervene and shame officers for their abuse, they often alter their behavior. Love you neighbor and don't just stand by and let them be abused. Be firm and always film, only be careful how close you get. I have a bit more flexibility in this community because I have trained the police to know me.

I will not be engaging in debates with those shameless enough to defend this officer. His actions are without excuse. Despite wishing I had another view, the condition of the man and the officers casual admissions verify the what happened here.

EPD Arrested me last week for filming... https://youtu.be/QGYVt_UgAb0 We must not allow another Kelly Thomas killing. If this officer had stopped in the road to help a man it would be fine. Instead he uses his truck block the view of a public road while he abuses him. Officer McLauchlan, Ephrata Police, (509) 754-2491. Wow, as a disabled man myself (paralyzed), I appreciate you stepping up and helping that man. Once that cop seen you videoing, all of a sudden he acted like he cared by picking that man up gently and etc. I hope that cop got fired.

this young man is doing us a huge service by exposing the tyranny by law enforcement! thank you for these videos .
  • You did the right thing. Absolutely. That cop is a psychopath. Lots of psychos in police work.
  • Stop asking questions and call 911 and follow the cop to the hospital then let them know what you saw, while on the phone with 911. Then go file an official complaint with 911...then follow up
  • That thug cop hasn't met a person that will clean his clock, then this thug just might think twice before harming a person!
  • Well done, camera guy!! That was awesome of you!! I can hear your concern for the guy in your voice!! Thank you, man!! x😚
  • I would like to see the police dash video to get a better idea of what happened.

Great job man.. we need more people like you looking out for others and speaking up. Most people would've let this happen without even thinking twice about it being wrong.
