more interesting ways to start a conversation

ok i know a few people have already made projects on this topic BUT

a lot of the conversations i have on scratch go very similar to this:
person: hi
me: hi
person: hru
me: good hru
person: good
*conversation stops*

it's boring, mindless, and you never get to know the person anyway :( it's a lose-lose situation

so i present to you - several things you can do to have interesting conversations that last more than 3 replies and proceeding in you getting to know the person you're talking to :D

1. interesting responses to regular questions
if someone asks you, hru? or wyd?
you can respond in a funny or interesting way that will turn the conversation into a whole different direction.
for example:
person: wyd?
me: oh, yknow, nothing much, just walking my fish and folding the dishes :)))
ta-da, the conversation will become much more interesting, trust me!

or if you're truly feeling down, don't say "good" when they ask hru, actually be honest, and that might spark a conversation at the end of which you might feel a little bit better :)

if YOU'RE the one iniating the conversation, make sure to start it off with something interesting, such as a would you rather question:
example:
me: hi
person: hi
me: dunkin or starbucks?
person: starbucks
me: yesss same
and ta-da, you can ask more would-you-rathers or continue the current conversation! its a much more efficient way at getting to know the person.

or you can ask a more open ended question, such as,
" which one of snow white's seven dwarfs do you relate to the most?"
or "which candy is your favorite?"
or "if you could wish for one thing, what would it be?"

another possibility is to try starting a conversation in a funny way - im not funny so i really don't have any examples for this but if you think of any please let me know xD

seriously guys i promise you you'll have a much more rewarding conversation if you stop saying hru!
like literally if another person asks me "hru" or "wyd" i will screammmm

also people will keep coming back to talk to you if you have interesting conversations with them :D you'll be more well-liked because people will enjoy talking to you more :)
