Welp.
I haven't posted a project since May. That's almost 2 1/2 months without any projects from me.
(well, except for my SDS project, but that was really quick and I don't like it that much tbh)
I usually wouldn't feel so guilty about this, but I am!
I've been promising so much.
It Should Be Impossible episode 1,
Two to the Millions Voice Auditions,
An original song,
A cover,
MAP parts,
etc.
And what did y'all get?
Nothing! Absolutely nothing!
Well, the reasoning for that is that I've been feeling a somewhat separation from Scratch. I feel like I should be focusing more on things in real-life, like Theater, Music, and just general interests outside of Scratch. I've been viewing making Scratch projects more as work recently instead of a fun, play, creative outlet type of thing, and I think that's because I've given myself deadlines (none of which I have met), promised you guys tons of stuff, and a decline in followers.
Meanwhile, a lot of things in real life don't seem like chores.
Like watching YouTube! Playing my guitar and ukulele! Performing in a local production of Seussical!
And tons of conflicts over the summer that have prevented me from sharing projects...
On memorial day, my family had a day-long party and I barely logged on to Scratch that day.
In June, I had a 5-day day camp, and each day was 8 hours long (but I really enjoyed it!). I devoted my time at home to more leisurely activities.
In July, I went to a week-long sleepaway camp and a day and-a-half camping trip afterwards.
Now, I just completed 1 week of 2-week long theater day camp (this is the Seussical production I keep talking about), and each day is 4 hours long, and I had to stay behind one day for 3 hours to work on costumes (I'm also helping out with costumes for this show). This entire week is going to be pretty much the same as last week, plus performances over the weekend.
Then once that's done, I have Vacation Bible School next week, which I'm helping out with.
Sigh.
I ~really~ wanted to share a lot of projects this summer. I really did! Unfortunately, August is coming, and that means summer is almost over, which absolutely sucks.
Really, not sharing any projects this summer (and having tons of incomplete ones!) makes me feel lazy, unaccomplished, unproductive, and like a couch potato dirtbag.
So, sorry about that.
I appreciate any heartfelt comments you want to give me, whether it be a simple "<3" to ten comments filled right to the brim with 500 characters each.
Thanks for still sticking with me even if I'm not doing anything.
