I discovered my family were abusive and likely narcissistic when I was in my 40s. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever dealt with and I still struggle with it. The emotional and mental scars run deep.
But I believe the best way to deal with it is by talking truthfully about it. By acknowledging the hurt and exploring the after effects I hope we will all heal, and can help support others in a similar situation.
