Just another league of legends player who might know a thing or two about the game instead of being "mechanically gifted" as some would call it!
I'm not the best mechanical player, but I did get to platinum simply because I know how to "play around it".

Its all in terms of the risk factor when, for example, picking a champion that's not 'in the meta' currently and knowing WHY this champion isn't in the meta? is it because its simply harder to hit with an Ezreal Q? Or is it because even if you do hit with it the damage wont be worth the effort and skill used to hit with in the first place? A little bit of both?! you get the point.

Patch notes are ESSENTIAL in your first steps to becoming a better player and I personally think I can understand what the patch notes can lead to and how to 'exploit' them in the best & fastest way possible to keep up with the other summoners on the rift!
