HELLO FRIENDS!! Today it’s all about color - and as someone who is known for wearing almost only black, I decided to dip my toes into the personal color analysis trend I've been hearing about for years and seeing all over TikTok. Because I've always been curious... am I a winter? Autumn? Summer? Or even Spring? Pastels have never been my forte, but I was open to at least hearing about them. So, we took a little detour to Toronto and visited Julia Dobkine from Agile Styling, an expert in color analysis who I’d been following on Tiktok, to find out my colors, my season, my tones, and everything underneath those tones. What do you guys think? Would you try this?

Also, thanks to the virtual color analysts, the color key, for their help in fact-checking the video and collaborating on celebrities for the 12 seasons for our graphics! To learn your season virtually, check out @‌thecolorkey_ on Instagram! **celebrities shown here are examples based on the color key's best classification done in good faith but without participation in the color key analysis process. Accurate results can only be achieved through their color analysis process!!

HELLO FRIENDS!! it turns out black is (one of) my color(s)! what a relief.... not that anyone could pry my funereal wardrobe away from me 🦇 what do you guys think? would you try a personal color analysis? thanks again to julia at @agilestyling for being our expert! and with the celebrities in the seasonal graphics... we tried our absolute best but there is definitely the possibility of a mistake, so sorry if that's the case!! xoxo, saf
  • I’m shocked you didn’t mix all your winter shades together and ask the analyst what she thinks of FRANKENWINTER
  • @robineras477
As a color blind person I don’t really know what’s going on. But I love the vibes!
  • @sk8ergalx
Actually when I went to a personal colour consultant, she gave me secondary colour palette that still looks good, even if not the best. I think it is important to know the range of what looks okay to the best, not just sticking to the best. My consultant also gave me tips of how to make the best of colours that are not in the good tone for me by playing with contrast, position of the colours, etc. It is actually more freeing than restrictive when you have these tips and insights on how to make colours work for you!

my mom (who is super good at this) gives people this advice: to find out what your palette is, look at your wardrobe of favorite clothes. if you always love how you look in certain colors, it's probably because they're the most flattering colors for you. also people tend to compliment you when you're wearing your best palette.
  • @BlueBirdsFIy
completely honest... when you switched into the new clothes and makeup at the end i actually gasped out loud because you COMPLETELY shined. like all your features stood out so much stronger. you looked younger too!
  • Safiya: is validated for wearing black because she's a true winter All of the comfortable vampires in the world: "and there was much rejoicing"
  • Shout out to Tyler who doesn't just tag along but gets activity involved in helping Saf find her colors. However i am surprised that he didn't play with the scarfs himself LOL
  • @tina_yong
OMG can we swap please? I'm loving the winter colours!
  • @AliMeetsWorld
You’re literally GLOWING, this lady knows what she’s doing. Those colors look really reaaaaally good on you!
  • @Alexa71277
Her final transformation was absolutely insane. I need to get my colors done bc it literally made her look so beautiful and rich. I didn’t realize how powerful colors are
  • @alyjahflakes
You know what’s crazy? I’ve been really into color seasons lately and the other day, I literally thought to myself “I wonder if Saf is a dark winter or if I just make that association cus she wears so much black” and here’s the video.
  • @Kitkat2870
Very entertaining video. Kinda sad that Tyler didn't also get his color palette done. It would have been nice to see him also shop for some clothes.
  • @luv9397
Colours really do influence your skin, but remember that anyone can suit any colour. If u like it, wear it.
  • @-rayn-4934
I swear I was confused by the warm hair color on the "perfect" makeover series bc the cool grey color suited you so much better! Now, this confirms my innate suspicion :D
  • @kattelyn92
It would be interesting to do this with a few color stylists and see if they come to the same conclusion. I personally just don't have the eye for this and can't see the difference in most instances 😅 but it's still a fun idea.
  • @Kassowari
The makeup was definitely the biggest stand-out for me. I hadn't even realized the warm foundation was kind of... not doing Saf justice. I think a slightly darker eyeshadow will maybe tone down the overall brightness of the look itself, but the pink lip, the cheeks, etc, really made her pop. That was neat!
  • @MaraMara89
How anyone could NOT know Safiya is winter? She is the poster example for it XD I may not know what color I am, but Safiya being winter was obvious XD
  • @bruceg.6282
This stuff is real. I had my "colors" done (my wife forced me) a very long time ago. Turns out that I'm an Autumn and it has helped me immensely with the clothes I've bought over the years.
  • @NyraDelRey
Her saying “this is painful” was the highlight for me. You all find people so naturally hilarious to feature in these videos!
