  • “The inventory has 50 slots” it also has 51 if you’re brave enough

You actually don’t need to keep your tools in your hotbar at all times. If you mousover a block/stump and hold shift, the tool is automatically selected.

have you done a video about things even terraria "veterans" might not known about i think it could be interesting

Note: when I say ‘special weapon’ I mean a weapon that can be used for different occasions(yo-yos, summons, weapons that can go through walls, etc.) My hotbar usually looks like this: primary—RoD—pickaxe—secondary—Special weapon—special weapon—Axe/hammer—cell phone/magic mirror/recall potions—torches I do this because I’m on console and we have to scroll through our hotbar, so when I need to say rod, or make a quick escape, I need to be able to scroll to those things faster, so I put them near my primary. Things like torches are just more convenient for us console players to be in our hotbar than to quick select them. During boss fights I typically use the secondary over my primary. For instance, in my melee run, I prefer to use the fetid baghnakhs (my secondary) over my terrablade (primary) during boss fights. They’re just more convenient for boss fights because they dish out high dps and are insanely quick. Not to mention that a lot of the bosses deal decently high contact damage, and the fact that they try to ram you a lot of the time (some examples In Hardmode, because that’s when you get them, are the destroyer, Skeletron prime’s two melee arms and his head, the twins during spaz phase 1 and 2 and ret phase 1, plantera phase 2, golem, and finally duke fishron. Although the baghnakhs may or may not be outclassed by other weapons once you get to golem or fishron, but they’re really good against bosses, while the Terra blade is better for smaller, more weak enemies because it’s longer ranged, has a beam, and can still do huge amounts of dps. The fetid baghnakhs are high risk high reward against bosses while the Terra blade is better at killing smaller enemies and has a better range. Thank you for reading my essay on why the fetid baghnakhs are better against boses than the Terra blade. What was the original idea of this comment again?

If you didn't know, you can actually place item IDs into a chest's name, and it will appear as that item. Simply put the following in the chest name: [i:] where is the ID of the item you want You can find a full list of item IDs on the wiki

1:00 when it comes to an axe, I personally keep the axe off my toolbar (to give more room for ropes, platforms, building blocks etc.) Any time I actually have to use my axe, I hold down shift while hovering over a tree to smart select it

This had some helpful ideas for the inventory but I came here looking for tips on managing the inventory in my chests, and keeping those organized well.
  • I have only beaten the game once and that was in 2 weeks but I still do find this helpful in those two weeks I found it best to have a void bag vault and money trough for storing purposes and putting potions in the bottom section of my inventory with the other items but keep space in between them to differentiate it but I never thought about the sides so I don't forget about the items in the middle which rarely happens but also it is easier for cleaning out the inventory
  • Few tips: You can get a piggy bank summon from the blood moon, a void bag, and a summon from deer clops. All of these have the same amount of space as a chest, so you essentially have 4 inventories.
  • Extra: You can use the safe for potions You can use defender's forge to store another class' armor, weapon, and accessories.
