This clip is a magical moment I captured while filming for a mall in England. It just sums up what Christmas really means to me.

Here's the real story: "Mali, aged 3, visited the Cleveland Centre's special event days several times. She came with her mum on Saturday to meet Santa.

Mali is not deaf, she struggles to communicate with speech and language and this is were she learned sign language to help her communicate.

Santa asked Mali’s mum if she could sign, and touched hearts all over the world when he sprung in to action signing to Mali if she wanted a doll for Christmas.

Her reaction is priceless and touched all of us who witnessed it live. I was so pleased I could capture such a special moment and share it with the world."

That is an awesome Santa, completely focused on the little girl's experience. He doesn't miss a beat once he learns that she can sign, tapping on her arm to get her attention and engaging with her. It could just as easily have been a thing between the adults where the Santa goes "Oh, I can sign!" like being all impressed with himself, and the adults all get excited and talk to him about that for a few seconds first. Instead, he couldn't care less about the adults once he finds out there's a way he can communicate with the little girl.

Shit, his reminds me that I wanted to learn sign language at some point. Completely forgot about it. so, in a way, this vid has served a higher purpose.
